If you use GlobalPrime as broker, indeed you have to set CriminalIsECN=true, it should in the OOTB set so, as CriminalIsECN=true works for all types of brokers in the actual version and you have to set BrokerHasSundayCandle=false

as I know GlobalPrime has recalculated all historical data to the actual +2/3GMT, they are now in history/GlobalPrime-Live ..

When I setup the MM I wrote these exact numbers [from Mike's pdf] but they refuse to stay the same, so I changed them in the setfile after creating it. Now it started backtesting and took the 1st trade.

I'll keep backtesting then forward testing tomorrow. I'm doing this using GP and Mike's settings. I don't have forex tester so I'll stick to Empty4. it might backtest one year in 6 months for each pair!! whatever

The back-tests should give you an opportunity to learn new things. However, I think, for real trading with Global Prime one would be better off with the settings in the guide. But, Philippe, Tommaso, and Mike would know better.

Backendtesting with Empty4 is good to find some bugs and to check if all works as intended but, in my opinion that's it, finding setting that are working for one is part of experimenting in different Demosettings, and too in my opinion problem of all backtesting is that the performance in past only can be used to give an idea about working of an EA but not more, the markets are in a dynamic evolution and always faster as we see always more people trading forex and and more and more technological progress is happening, what yestday worked must not work today or tomorrow.

Sorry, I really did not give clear instructions and left out some. Let me try again for eurusd:
1. you take the excel file (column A is hidden by default) and adapt the parameters fitting your broker (ECN/Sunday Candle) and your Lotsize (if you set UseFixedLot=1).
2. you hide the columns D/E/F/G (see attachement)
3. you see the remaining columns B/C/H/....
4. you copy the indicated area (without header) and paste it into Notepad (not the Editor, not Wordpad)
and this is what I forgot to explain
5. within Notepad you copy the empty space of any Tab-jump (see attachement)
6. you go to Edit/Replace and paste this empty space into "search for" (now the cursor is in the middle of the empty field) and do not put anything into "replace": now you hit "replace all"
7. and save as *.set and not *.txt
Looks complicated but once you start to play with the settings it's very helpful.
