Any language I know has optimization and would transform if (A && B) to a nested if and will return false at first false statement to take less cpu. However here things are different, some will execute the first on the right, others the first on left. I don't have that much mql4 experience to know how Empty4 works.
I absolutely agree.... I did a little investigation about this last week: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... t=10#p6990

Nobody has this much experience. The infantile minds that programmed Empty4 certainly do not.

Latest update in post 1. This is no biggy, as it merely deals with the problem discussed above. If you never noticed the error, or couldn't care less, then you do not need the update.

Many thanks to Steve and many others who have contributed to the development of this EA.

It is early days yet and I am not getting too excited about the results. The demo has only been running for just over a week and has chalked up 13% gains.

Demo FXDD GMT+2 $10,000 account, H4 charts, 15 pairs, lot size 0.2, OOTB RSI Forexkiwi 500.

Initially, I was manually closing all trades when the daily gains were exceeding 3% of equity. However, since yesterday, I have started running Donefortheday EA from Changethecolor thread to do this automatically.

Will post again in a couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see how the bot progresses.

Cheers,
Peter
On the other hand 13% from only 15 trades sounds really good.

Graeme continues to surprise on the upside. Added another 3% to the account balance so far this week.

Hi Steve,

As I like trend-following EA's I downloaded this one yesterday and put it on 30 pairs. The EA kept opening and closing GBPNZD so I closed the chart, and last night it happened on the GBPAUD as well, consuming 6% of the starting balance.

Any idea why this happens?

What I noticed is that although the last GBPAUD opened at 1.46903 and the price is lower at the moment, the text on the dashboard tells me the 'next' low round number is 1.47000.

Thanks in advance,

Gertjan

Graeme gave back its gains for the week on Thursday, an interest setting day for the UK and Europe. Would we be trading real money on an interest setting day ? I doubt it.

Yesterday, G suffered a hugh draw down of 6.8% during a choppy session. You can see from the account history that four yen pairs were involved. There is a lesson to be learned here. The default settings for Zeljko was false, and has now been changed to true to avoid such a catatrophy happening again.

It will be interesting to see what happens next week.

Cheers,
Peter

Looking at the weekly charts, all the four yen pairs are in an uptrend. The reversals yesterday may be just a retracement to the 61.8% fib level.

I am optimistic that G may yet recover all its losses next week.

From my side, since I've put the last version, G behaves nicely ! I didn't face your situation on jpy, probably, as you mention, because I've set up from the beg. the Zeljko input to true. So we can notice the importance of it !

Edit: do not pay attention to my signature results, the bloody update doesn't work consistently (weird) .. last update was on tuesday 7 (right before I set up the last version ..)

Clever guy !

As we will not trade the same currency more than twice with real money, there is no reason why we should do so with an EA.

Now that I have corrected the mistake, let us see what happens next week.
