hi Tonka.

The Excel looks really good. I think there are some good combinations there. I have been using MPTM for a while now and yes, sometimes, the settings are quite complicated.

Here is what I'm trying to do in my trading. Would you happen to know what settings will achieve the below results in the example? Below, I know how to do Req 2 and Req 3, but I cant seem to make Req 1 work with MPTM at all.

e.g., Say I buy 0.4 lots of Eur/Usd.

Req #1:
At 15 pips profit, I want to part-close 50% of the position (which is 0.4/2 = 0.2), but I DO NOT want to move my SL to BE. This I don't know how to do... Can any part close be done on MPTM WITHOUT moving SL to BE?

Req # 2:
At 25 pips, I want to close half of what is remaining (which is 0.2/2 = 0.1). Here I don't mind moving SL to BE. I know how to do this - This can be achieved by setting part close condition to TRUE with 0.5 and setting the break-even parameter to 25.

Req # 3:
At 30 pips, I want to close everything. This is the simplest and can be done by adding a missing TP at 30 pips

I would appreciate any help / guidance in this regard.

I've been playing with MPTM_Global for a while and can sort of get things working. I've searched for example set files, with no luck. So I spent a bit of time putting the attached spreadsheet together. I found it made things a lot easier to work out what related to what and how to get the settings working.

Sheet 1: Setting. Has all of the variables with a list of the OOTB and my attempt at a few variants.
Sheet 2: EXPORT. Copy from here and paste into a set file.
Sheet 3: MPTM_Global.mq4 code used.

Please review and let me know if my settings are correct.
Also, could anyone please post their working set files so a LOT of other people can get using this GREAT piece of programming.

Hey SK,

I don't think you can close part position without moving the SL or BE. Also, there is no facility for a secondary partial close. So, point 1 and 2 can't be done. You may need some dev done for you to do that. Point 3, as you said is easy.

I would be most grateful if global (or someone) could add the following function to the hedge trade settings please?

The hedge trade settings has a setting for HedgeAtLossPips, which is number of pips you want the first trade to fall for a pair before the EA opens an hedge for that pair. One additional setting that would be most helpful is to be able to also set the amount of total loss for all current trades (i.e. in a basket of trades, the current UPL) before the hedging for a pair is triggered. So, basically two conditions before a hedge is triggered: 1) current UPL/DD down by a certain amount, 2) hedge a pair down by a certain number of pips.

Thanks, Tonka. I was hoping there could be a solution.

Also, #2 can be done easily and it works perfectly for me on my live account. You need to set part close to TRUE and the line just below it to 0.5 to close 50% of your positions and turn on BE at 25 pips or Jumping stop at 25 pips. When your position moves into profit, at 25 pips, MPTM will automatically close half the position.

Also, does anyone have a script that will just remove the TP and make it 0 for existing and pending trades. I'm using the scaling trade script to set my positions but they seem to work only if the orders are sent using a SL and TP. Steve has posted a "remove stop loss" script in his MPTM thread, but is there anyone who can provide me a "Remove take profit" Script? All that is needs to do is to make all my TPs to 0 and close the script. After that, I have various MPTMs that will add the required TPs and SLs.

Hi,

this is not newbie but non-programmer question.

The EA is great, thank you for this very useful tool.

I am using its calculate take profit percentage based no number of trades.
I was able to add more levels.
That's working.
What I am trying to achieve is modification to set take profit in hard numbers instead of percentage.
so e.g.
1-10 trades = close basket at profit $100
11-20 trades = close basket at profit $200
etc...
what part of code should I alter?

I would welcome set - file. SL = PT = 0.5 ATR. SL to BE after 0.25 ATR.

Hi,

I wonder if it's possible to set up the following senario: I want to set brake even to 130pips, and then it should secure 80pips and i want to use trail stop when i reach 150pips, and then i want to trail with 35pips.

So to explain it easy, when i reach 130pips in profit, it should move BE/SL to 90pips, then when i reach 150pips it should use trail stop with 35pips.

Is this possible to set up ?

Fantastic, only now I realize what you have done - absolutely fantastic!
Perhaps you can add to your manager the TF-Option: Example: automatically replacing 1440 by 240 (or whatever option the user sets) in all the referring EA properties if you want to apply different ATR-TF than daily.

Hi,

I have been using MPTM for JSL. It works perfectly fine for me. Now I want ea to put JSL after BEP. I have make Add JSL after BEP true but its not working.

I want ea to put sl at break even after 20 pips move in favor. after that jumping stop should be kept at 30pips so total move of price from order price is 50 pips.Then on Jsl should be moved to more 30 pips while total price move is 80 pips.

But ea is doing as per below. It puts BE initially after 20 pips. There after jumping stop loss is kept at 30 pips only when price has moved 60 pips in favor. Where as I want JSL to be put once price moved 50 pips in favor. That would be 20 pips from the order price.

Can Some body help me to modify the code as mentioned above ?
