$1.50 / RTL Rebates & Commission Discounts for IC Markets

Post by Layzars »

Hey everyone!

I'd like to extend an offer I'd first made available to members of FXAW (Steve has okayed this).

To preface things and give some context, I had recently entered into an IB agreement with IC Markets, based on the quality of their trade environment (especially with respect to the EUR/USD pair), their ASIC regulation, lack of a dealing desk, use of segregated accounts and 4+ star rating at the Forex Peace Army. After examining their spreads, execution times and slippage over an extended period, I decided that they were a broker I could put myself behind, and fully recommend to others with confidence.

I of course certainly encourage you to verify the above first hand for yourself. The following are good examples of the sort of thing that lead me to my association with ICM:

FPA Reviews: http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/public/re ... ets.com.au

100 Forex Broker Reviews: http://www.100forexbrokers.com/reviews- ... /icmarkets

Donna Forex Thread: http://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=5761.0

Getting down to brass tacks, I've managed to obtain for my referrals a $1.50 / RTL rebate for their Empty4 ECN accounts, and a $0.61 / RTL rebate for their cTrader ECN accounts. Rebates will be discounted from the cost of your commission in real time (reducing them to $5.5 / RTL down from $7.00 / RTL for Empty4, and from $6.00 / RTL to $5.39 for cTrader). The cTrader platform also has the benefit of potentially providing negative spreads at times where Empty4 cannot; this means you can pocket instead of pay the difference between the bid and ask.

If you're interested in signing up with me, use the following link to set up a new trading account, specifying IB ID 1053 as your Introducing Broker/Referrer:

Once done, please be sure to confirm your enrolment by e-mailing me with your name and account number(s) at ICMRebates@gmail.com. This guarantees you're getting the rebates you'd signed up for.

Certainly let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cheers and happy trading!

Just a heads up that as a result of IC Markets infrastructure upgrades, my IB link has changed and is now: http://icmarkets.com/?camp=1053

This change has been reflected in the original post. If you plan to provide any friends with my IB link (thanks!) be sure to give them this new one.

As ever I can be reached at ICMRebates@gmail.com with any questions you might have.

Cheers,

Hey guys, just a heads up that due to rebate rate standardization per IC Markets, my rebate/discount rate will unfortunately be required to decrease to $1.50 USD / RTL on Sunday November 3rd.

Note that existing clients and new clients that sign up on the date of or before November 3rd will retain my old $1.55 USD / RTL commission discount rate via grandfathering.

As I've had some interest in cTrader rates thus far, I've added info about it to the OP; cTrader base commissions are $6.00 USD / RTL, and I can provide a $0.61 USD / RTL discount on them, decreasing the cost of trading to $5.39 USD / RTL.

Note that with cTrader, unlike Empty4, you can benefit from negative spreads and execution times tend to be better, so it is preferential to trade with this platform whenever possible with your strategy.

Fund transfers between IC Markets and Global Prime are now available; per Jeremy Kinstlinger:

"IC Markets & Global Prime have come to a mutual agreement to allow fund transfers between both brokers. If you are a Global Prime client and would like to transfer funds across to IC Markets you can do so. If you are an IC Markets client and would like to transfer funds to Global Prime you can also do so. You'll still need to meet the conditions of both brokers to facilitate a B2B transfer - please speak to us or IC Markets if you require assistance with transferring funds between brokers."

Been experiencing consistent 40 ms and under execution times at ICM due to Empty4 Build 625 and ICM's new infrastructure investments.

$1.50 / RTL Rebates & Commission Discounts for IC Markets

Post by Layzars »

Would like to wish a Happy New Year to all my clients and all goers of this fine forum!

That said, it's a shame we've all got off to such a rough start with the depegging of the Swiss Franc.

If you feel you've been adversely affected by an aberrant/erroneous spike or price at IC Markets due to this event, I definitely recommend getting in touch with IC Markets support ASAP: support@icmarkets.com.au

Direct correspondence from IC Markets on the matter is as follows:

Dear Client,

This email is concerning the CHF position(s) on your trading account and the prices streamed across the CHF pairs that have affected you today.

Today at 11:30 platform time (GMT+2) the Swiss National Bank removed the floor at 1.20 on the EURCHF currency pair which caused extreme volatility in all CHF pairs and the market in general. Over this period we saw spreads widen significantly which in turn caused the activation of price filters to stop pricing. Once pricing stopped on our main Integral price feed our backup price feed from Currenex was allowed to price. It was at this time that some liquidity providers were able to stream erroneous prices to IC Markets and execute client trades at prices they shouldn’t have.

Today IC Markets will be amending the prices on trades done across the CHF pairs with our liquidity providers. Once we have had these trades amended we will begin the process of adjusting clients accounts. This may include but not be limited to the actions below:

• Reinstatement of positions where appropriate and possible
• Amendment of open/close prices on trades
• Assessment of client portfolios closed due to insufficient margin
• Adjusting client cash balances to reflect the actions above

IC Markets staff will be working as fast as possible to complete the above and restore trading accounts to their correct state. We appreciate your patience as we complete this.

Kind regards,
IC Markets Trade Desk

Further, please note that there is no risk of IC Markets becoming insolvent as other brokerages had due to overleveraged clients; it has more than enough operating capital to sustain itself:

Dear Traders,

In the wake of unprecedented market events caused recently due to actions of SNB, we would like to reassure you that our robust risk management processes has helped us to continue Business as usual.
Our operating capital has not been affected and we continue to hold capital well in excess of all ASIC regulatory requirements.
Trust and Transparency form the basis of IC Markets' core values, we hold all positive client equity and balances separately in segregated client trust accounts at top-tier Australian banks and do not use these funds for any purpose other than to facilitate clients trading activity.
At IC Markets, we will leave no stone unturned to fulfill our promise of providing our clients with the very best trading environment, Our Staff will be working as fast as possible to resolve all Client inquiries & requests. We appreciate your patience as we complete this.
If you have any further questions or require any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact one of our support team members via Live Chat, email:support@icmarkets.com or phone +61 (0)2 8014 4280.

Kind regards,
IC Markets Trade Desk
