Well.. typically u enter at the pins with SL somewhere above the pins, so even if you are wrong, it wont damage your account all that bad.

Hanging typically happens during news events or high liquidity, nothing much you can do actually, either your SL is triggered or you are happily swimming in green pips

Have not found a broker that hangs at high liquidity, if you ever find one good for you.

Hey kwanann, my Empty4 is still hanging as of now, that is a total of half an hour... and that happened after I bitten back at the fox for a few trades for a significant sum relative to my account size..


anyone's platform hanged that long?

Not sure what this significant sum is, but unless it is at least in the order of thousands, most broker don't care..

that said, it shouldnt be hanging so long, try alternate access such as ipad or android devices? or use a VPS or something?

yes, its live. i tried logging in from iPhone for that half hour, it didnt work too..
anyway, now its working.. says a lot about this broker..

Hi Kwanann de barbrian, I am out. 63 pips. Could u explain why wasn't it a w? Level counting wrong? Fulfilled the criterias : 3 swipes down during london, 8 candles, one leg before US open and second leg after US opened. Long pins, in line with low on 4 Nov. I didn't counter trend

I was ambushing for cadjpy, alert from el capitaine CJ, but i don't have the opportunity to enter as it does not have another leg, straight down, it's a pity. Did u enter this? I didn't dare to enter on first leg.

Hey nice calling out on this.. I entered pretty early when CJ called this but got stopped out during the Euro shit.. but didnt look at it again as I was busy with other pairs

actually.. u still can enter, go with a micro lot? but i rather save it for another setup later.. haha.. i guess it depends on the personality..

Yeah, after captain issued the alert, it looked quite high probability . There were several hits to the high of day without surpassing. I was also waiting for entry and waiting for it to surpass the high by a bit and then came back down. This did not happen and I hesitated to enter because the hunts often occur at session changeovers, so I waited for US to open, and I was not given the opportunity to enter, and I found GU instead and saw the accumulation going on (or at least that was what I perceived).

I was lucky as I would get stopped out and scratching my head if I entered during London session. But also very unlucky as I missed the expected move as captain’s alert was proven correct, just that the entry timing made all the difference. 100 pip move, what a big waste.

What do u think of EG for tomorrow? 3 levels neatly displayed on H1. On M15, second leg in the process and one long pin. Does this pair behave well in the past during M&Ws?

Just a question about your routines.

I follow about 4-5 pairs and I find that keeps me pretty busy in the morning catching up. Though I am getting faster and am up from just 2 pairs.

Do you scan ALL the pairs? DO you mark your charts in Empty4 or have a scrapbook etc? I am trying to mark my charts with thick trend lines for the daily pushes so that as I scan them each day it speeds it up (it can be hard to remember each push in each pair by memory )

I'm trying to get a routine down that works.

As noted in some of the previous posts, many Yen pairs will have the same set ups, as do EUR, GBP, USD, AUD....etc. When you find a setup on one, chances are it's on the others in the same family. They won't all hit at the exact same time, some are ahead of others and some are behind.

When I'm trading heavy, I will scan every chart, on every pair, from the 15M time frame up to the D1... I only need one setup. You do not need to place trades on 28 pairs just because you see a potential setup. I stress multiple trades, on the same pair when you have zeroed in on a setup that is moving. Why leave it for another that may not pan out. Stack the trades on the winner...

I used to mark my charts when I was testing and refining the way that I trade. I no loner need to do that.
I do save all of my charts that I have annotated and refer back to them on numerous occasions. As stated many times, patterns repeat over and over and pattern recognition comes from repetitive viewing.
I have saved charts that are years old and yes, those same patters reappear in today's charts.

I'm not talking just the 3 level patterns, but the actual candle patterns.

Invest in a good screen capture program that has an editor built in. I use Techsmith's Snagit:
