Okay, I am not sure if this is correct, but I took a gamble and dropped the corresponding chart from my marketwatch into the chart window that is displayed by the profile, and that populated the window, and it kind of looks right...

That is definitely the CORRECT way to do that - Drag & Drop does it and it will look right

IDK what that convoluted advice about going in and editing files is all about; much simpler than that buddy!

Anyway, I have downloaded the templates, profiles etc for the trading method, but my broker has no prefixes on its pairs, so my charts do not display. Can somebody please give me direction as to how I can go about getting the charts displayed?

Just delete all the charts and replace them from your Market Watch. It's a pain but I don't know another way.

More erroneous advice, well meant but misguided by his own amateur attempts I imagine - as previous post, just Drag & Drop each pair from your own MarketWatch

Dang that was one heck of a wild ride yesterday. Hope some of you did well. I played some of the retracements of the Euro news and hit the jackpot. I dont know how to teach that but if you ever catch on to those kind of trades they can put some funds into the bank. Maybe the market will now break out of its zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I am going to play some JPY weakness and see if their bond buying program will net some pips over the next week.

It is part of last nights news story. The Euro cut its rate and money in Asia runs to the JPY. In Forex whenever there is a big news story money looks for security. The 3 big security currencies are the USA, CHF, (not so much now they have tied themselves to the Euro) and JPY. People will drop the commodity currencies and run to the safety currencies until the excitement dies down. Knowing how to trade these type of events can make you a lot of money. After you see this done several times you begin to understand it and trade it. It has nothing to do with indicators it is a fundamental that will play out a couple of times a year.

The thing that surprised me about last nights move was how quickly price came back to original positions almost across the board. I got em going both ways even though I wasnt expecting it.

Hi all , been reading this and the dummies thread now for three days solid seems a great system im up to page 420 phew! have had some succesful trades on demo , my thanks to bob and all the other contributors for sharing this great method of trading ,
Just one thing , ,can i ask if there is a way to change the colours on the different indis such as the dummy lights as I am colour blind to a certain extent , ( reds and greens just blend together for me on a screen
0, ive tried changing the colours in the edit window on the dummy lights but they do not change on the chart . another alternative would be to label them on the screen . any help would be appreciated .

@ The Snowman, thanks for the confirmation my friend. I have done exactly that and it seems right...I did not know that I had to save the profile, thanks for that advice too ( I am technologically challenged you see ).

My Empty4 does seem to freeze up quite a bit now, even the CPU fan goes into overdrive when that happens, when the fan quietens down then I know Empty4 is responsive again, weird...Anything I can do about that?

That should be it for the tech side of things, now to acquaint myself with the trading..
