I was just trying to show different methods so others could do research as well. I will be spending some time looking at these.
I can certainly say that so far the volatility stop looks far superior to the SMMA methods I mentioned but I will keep testing today. It shouldn't take me too long as none of these indicators repaint in any way so visual back testing is pretty good (as you mentioned Dewey - as long as you use bar close).

Cheers,
Dave.

There were several great signals last night and I hope everyone was able to take advantage. Here is something I am looking at. The pink lines on the chart represent large clusters of stop orders--thicker lines represent larger orders. The big traders like to take these out, so price will often move towards these. I am going to experiment using these for TP targets

Does anybody have a nice ea which does this or would share his MPTM-settings

Hi Dewey, I have been reading this thread with interest, and trying to find the time to update the EA with your recommendations. Out of curiosity, where did you get the information from to draw those pink lines?

It's from a commercial vendor. Let me ask Steve first before I post more about that

I got the information here:

http://www.orderflowtrading.com/News/Pr ... Board.aspx

Some of you may remember DarkStar from forexfactory and his discussions about order flow analysis. I recently subscribed.

No I am not a vendor and am not on any commission. I just started so I can't make any recommendations either way about them yet but it is fascinating reading so far.

Off topic but should be MAIN Topic right now:

Please try to donate to some charity/organization helping the Philippines.

It really is a small thing to do and it can really make a difference.
In the current situation there - that small thing can mean the difference between life and death.

poocher send me this:
Deal News through this link will match any donation made:
http://www.redcross.org/cm/dealnews-pub

I'm working on receiving info on more credible organizations that are directly working in the Philippines right now.

I'll post more links as soon as I receive them.

Thanks you in advance.

G.

Dewey, hi!
Congratulations on your development of this system.
This post is not exactly about the Breakout - sorry!
I would like to ask your help re the trade order button in the top left of your screens
Buy-sell.png
Using Dad's system (Aussiedoc's Ducks) we use the "New Order" button provided on the platform to manually open trades on the crossover signal... Which is OK on the slower time-frames - but can be a challenge on the shorter ones.
Having the above indicator(??) would be a great asset.
Would you please let me know how/where I can get it?
Thanks for your time.
Much appreciated.
Christine

Hi Christine - it is standard in the recent versions of Empty4 - try clicking on a chart then pressing ALT+T - it will either appear or ask you if you want to allow one click trading. If neither happens then your broker doesn't support it.

Cheers,
Dave.
