I use it before checking entry trade conditions and before managing existing trades.

Many time by day (0 to 5), I can receive message from different broker ( also GP ) and different symbol, on my journal tab, saying this broker or this symbol was not available. One Second/Minute after, all is OK.

This should also explain why we can have these various results.

cheers

Wow, Philippe... pretty amazing that you have discrepancies like that so often! No wonder results are so different
Yes, and I forgot to mention that I detect this problem in 2 different buildings from 2 different town and with 2 different internet ADSL line.

So, may be it's inherent to such Empty4/Server internet link... so we have to deal with !

Forex makes us more suspicious than of nature

Even two different computers with different specifications from the same location via the same ISP are more likely than not to return different results.

It is important to realize liquidity, resulting in the price one gets entering and exiting a trade, plays an important part in trading results. Forex may have hit the high of $ 5 trillion a day in April 2013, but please remember that by some estimates EURUSD accounts 70% of this!

I can't imagine market reject my tiny 0.05 lot USDCHF due to poor liquidity :o
IMO, It is more a purely IT problem side Empty4 and/or broker.

My experience tells me that under a true order matching regime, and particularly depending on the order type, it can momentarily reject an order as small as 0.01 lot. The 'momentary' can be as short as 1/10 of a second -- may be even shorter -- but enough for the fill to be different compared to another.

Will do.

When I have recovered from the thrashing our guys just took.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

My special thanks to Thomas (tomele) for all the incredible work he does here.

I understand that. But when you only ask broker server : Are you ready and is this symbol ok to trade, without notice it if you will just read trades from history, send Pending market or Instant market order... it couldn't be a liquidity problem.
