Thanks but no. Don't use the Stochastic ea's for now. I have no idea what the problem is, or where to start looking.

Steve's Flexible Stochastic works fine in my testing so far. To unwind you need to set the right level of Stoch levels. For example, in a UT, if you want to buy when Stoch crosses 10 from below and exit when Stoch crosses 90 from above, you have to set BuyAbove to 10 and CloseBelow to 90.
Similarly for a DT, you set SellBelow to 90 and Closeabove to 10.

This works for me so far.

using the flexible EA you would enter your trade above the 10.. if the candle doesn't close and the next candle moves down, STO7would move below the 10 too soon, you would get pushed out of the trade with a negative balance almost instantly. this could happen multiple times, making that EA not very flexible. using the close option risks too many trades being closed before they have time to move in your direction. just my 2 cents

I think the issue you said will only happen if you set both the OpenAbove and CloseBelow at 10. Normally you will set different levels for them. Like in my case, for a buy, I would set Openabove to 10 and Closebelow at 90. It works perfect for me.

Hi Steve, could you kindly add an option to the Flexible Stoch EA to trigger open and close trades at price bar close ?
I have many cases that positions were opened when Stoch temporary crosses 10 during the bar but closes below it at bar close, in other words, the trade was triggered too early.
