I'm just having a dabble with that protrader / algostudio software.

I'm trying to see if Marilyn will backtest on there, but it doesn't want to place any trades.

Just wondering if there is a parameter that needs to be adjusted when backtesting?

Or does any of the code need to be tweaked for it to work?

I can see the fractal filter is changing (I'm not using this for signals) but there are no actual buy or sell signals for some reason? This is on gbp / usd and eur/usd for a years worth of backtest data.

The timeframe is daily and the historical data (modelling scheme) is 1M - O H M L C, as I can't seem to get it to get it to work at all with tick data as it doesn't download it.

If you want to use tick data in Protrader you can either use Tickstory to download from Dukascopy and export to a CSV file, or download the CSV files from TrueFX. Then the files can be imported into Protrader.

I haven't tried it with Marylin, but it certainly works for others I have been testing. Best continue this discussion in the Protrader thread if you want to discuss it further.

When I run backtest on EU it stops after 1989.
All other pairs that only have from 2001 wont show any results.

is that all trades which would have been taken from 28.10.2013?
I am asking because I had it running and few eurjpy trades were taken too.
If it isn`t all of the trades, would you be able to export them all let`s say to excel so I would be able to confront it with my own data?
