For these type of trends that you can get back in. I would play this into the USA session and if it doesnt go then bail out around the time of the London close. If it hasnt taken by then it probably wont and you will have to wait until next week Monday eur/usa session or Tuesday. I do expect the JPY to start strengthen but have been saying that for a week. December rules never seem to apply so we will see. Anyway you can see if you can grab some pips on a 10.6 trade during the USA morning session and then quit on the trade.
Hey Bob,

To your and pgd's point, do the polar positions of the two currencies on the daily CSS cause any concern with regards to buying EJ?

I looked at this and thought we were setting up for a sell.

Also, your analysis for JPY strengthening is based on your understanding of fundamentals, not anything we're looking at on charts correct?
It has been consistantly strengthening after the bond sales have finished every month. So far it hasnt happened yet but I am looking for it. If it doesnt happen. Well I havent entered anything except the usd/jpy for a sell.

Hi Bob,
Where can we find the information on when the bond sales start and end?
I could not find it.
Thank you.

I watch the news at FF but it is about the same every month. It starts the end of the first week and quits sometime during the 3rd week. Depending on other fundamentals, it means that the JPY will weaken during the 2nd, 3rd, and sometimes into the 4th week of the month and then the end of the month it strengthens. However, other fundamentals can come to play where even with the sales other currencies are actually weaker fundamentally and its play can be weak that month.

Just want you to know that all analysis of fundamentals and indicator reads can be circimvented by the following news story. Be aware that this could escalate out of control. US, Japan, and Korean air forces are now involved with Chinese military planes. One happy trigger finger and all hell could break out. I certainly do not wish to see this happen. It would clearly disrupt my life.

Super news stories always dominate everything else in Forex or any markets for that matter.

Here are my live trades from last week:
usdhkdh4.png
Trend trading only; Global Prime; 1:100 leverage; 0.02 lots, closing half at _30 and then a 30 jumping stop; often closing a trade about half way through a session and banking the profits. Trading the pairs you can see plus EU, UJ and GJ - no trades on the last three. I am a bit reluctant to buy GJ just at the mo - pull out on the Weekly to see why.

I never made 411 pips in a week trading manually before. If I can do it, then anyone can.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

Very good, Steve.

Just curious, did you make these trades raw, or did you get any assist from your 10.6 Manual Trading Aids?

Hi Bob, I don't clearly understand what do you mean with CUTTING THE CORNER. It's in plain english that the price didn't retrace enough to cross the DP and use it as a re-enter point? Therefore we have to go down to H1 and do a 10.6 re-entry with MA 15 and H1 sto 80/20?

A few posts ago you mention that you know the low, medium and high volatility pairs. Are you referring to the 5 groups of currencies that we use from 10.2?

Lastly, besides the NZD and AUD which ones are the other commodity currencies? Are there such other currencies groups considered.... I don't know, like financial currencies or so?

Always very thankfull for your teachings my mentor. Not to bragg but to encourage other reluctant traders, I made 5,233 pips this week, live.

All from my manual trading aids except for the winning GU - you will notice one winner and one loser. I took the second GU to see if Recovery would get me out of a poor-looking initial trade. It did but I missed a fair few pips by closing them at BE, so better to trust the trend detection and simply exit the trade if it reaches the 240.

You could easily add CAD to that group since CAD currency is strongly related to the movement of the price of oil.

Hi Steve:
Are all your manual trading aids working now, bug free, I believe I read in a post that there were a couple of bugs in a script or two, and you advised against using them live until you worked it out, I thought in your stochastic, maybe? It's encouraging to read of the successes of others here trading Bob's 10.6.
