Tried 3 different criminals. Two were ECN's no luck. The smiley in the upper corner is a frown , a smiley. I wonder if the EA works with the Empty4 verison 4.0 build 409?

A sad face? Then you need to adjust the EA settings under Empty4 options.

Found my problem. When first opening EA, in the COMMON tab (LIVE TRADING MUST BE CHECK).

How does one Hide Breakeven ? I don't understand (PIPs away from VISUAL BE). In order to hide BE one has to set a BE with the broker first?

You cant hide a BE if dont have a BE right? But you dont have to set it with the crim. Set it in MPTM, and set Visual BE, Crim will see the the Visual BE, not the actual BE. Thats how you hide it.
You may want to take a look at the instruction manual at post #1. It explains everything.

Treat me as a dummy - I need a dummy's guide to MPTM and probably about to ask some dummy questions! I have read the guide, but unless my eyes really fail me, cannot find an explanation of the candle trailing stop.

I am using the candle trailing stop in one of Steve's ea's - the comment confirms it is on but it does not seem to modify the SL. As I have left the TF as 0, I am assuming this will use the TF of the chart to which it is attached. I have entered 1 for the candlestick trail candle, which the notation says is the default to previous candle - I am assuming this is the close of the candle:

1. If I put 2 will that be the open of the previous candle i.e. close of two candles back?

2. I have set hidden pips to 0, so am assuming that the order will be executed as it is shown. However, does the ea actually modify the order or does it not modify the order, but close the position if the trailing stop is hit?

This brings me to the third question:

3. If it does not modify the order, is there anyway to see what SL it will use?

I'm running MPTM with a 15 BE +5 BEP. This works as expected. However I've also set 30 pip jumping stop but this never gets applied. At the moment I have two pairs more than 40 pips beyond the SL but MPTM hasn't updated the SL since the BEP.

I've been through the code and I seem to have the relevant settings enabled correctly:

ManageByMagicNumber=true;
MagicNumber=1;
ManageAllTrades=true;
.....
JumpingStop=true;
JumpingStopPips=30;

Any suggestions?

I think the jumping stop jumps after price advances to 2 times the JumpingStopPips. In your case, when you get to be 60 pips ahead, it should lock in 30 pips. Then, when it hits 90, it should lock in 60 pips.

OK. Using what you've said I reduced the JS to 3pips to see the effect on a couple of pairs in profit.

usdjpy - SL: 79.560, price: 79.628 (gap = 6.8 pips) - JS increased the SL to 79.590 (3pips as expected)
chfjpy - SL: 86.925, price: 87.175 (gap = 25 pips) - JS made no change to SL - stays at 86.925!

It seems to be inconsistant.

EDIT: actually, I've just restarted Empty4 and it now seems to be working for the chrjpy pair - Empty4!

hi l want use this ea in armada markets demo .I copy ea to expertadvisor folder. When l open Empty4 l cant see it in ea folder. So l cant use it. But in fxcm alpari demos I do thee same things and ea works perfect. How can l solve this problem. I talked armada suppurt they say You must change EURUSD to EURUSD.arm But l cant see in the folder. CAn this change solve the problem? thanks

armada markets are pissing you around and you need to dump them.

An ea is an ea is an ea. Once loaded onto a platform, the EA should appear as normal. armada's response marks them out as criminals trying to take you for a ride.
