NB 10.6 + TCO Automated 10.6

Have members stopped using this?

I've been trading with the more conservative BASA on H1 ( http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=2759 ) only because I've had lots of work on and TCO needed my attention for trade management/exits, at least how I was trading it. TCO is an excellent EA, but there are different ways to trade it.

Last week gained 3.78% not to shabby especially since I only started on Tuesday.
On a side note, try not to trade until US open on Monday, the early trade is bad for this system

Been lurking for several months and I only started using NB10.6+TCO last week and I'm very happy with it because of it's hybrid flexibility and simplicity.

I'm having the most simple consistent results with settings similar to snowman but with ATR_TP=True, ATR_TP_TF=1440, ATR_TP_Per=30, ATR_TP_Mult=0.5,
ATR_SL=true, ATR_SL_TF=30, ATR_SL_Mult=0.25
BreakEvenStop=true, BreakEvenProfit=35, BreakEven SL=5
Stoch 7,2,2,1,1 with Stoch_OB=80, Stoch_OS=20, Stoch_Confirmation=1
Also using snowmans 20/63 trend settings with MA cross=true

I'm presently looking at tweaking the JumpstopProfit=30 approx ...and then I'll start tweaking my ATR_SL_Mult possibly higher to optimize with the JumpStopProfit.

Thanks TCO, NB and Snowman. I'm looking forward to the addition of a "trading times" filter in TCO.

I'm also running BASA to compare but presently leaning more towards TCO because of the choice of Trend type and signal method depending on conditions. The NB10.6+TCO forum thread is also much more concise for newbie bedside reading compared to BASA....but I'm reading both for self-education.

Hi dpc161, nice to see that you are still using this Ea. I absolutely agree with you that this is an uncomplicated flexible easy to use ea and can be adjusted at any time to simulate market conditions. I am currently honing in on Bob's 10.6 Edsel but will probably go back to this in the new year and adjust the ea around Bobs 10.6 system. I absolutely haven't forgotten about this ea. Keep it up and let us know on your progress.

i know you kindly posted your amendments to the OOTB settings lat week, and i have been running with those changes and its doing well, although it tends to give back some gains. would it be possible to share your guidelines for closing trades manually and/or your mptm settings? many thanks man

this ea is making a serious ammount of pips, since 1st november, made over 2000 pips, i have it on edsel 4 hour stoch set at 5,2,2, i think that was somebody elses settings, cant remember who, today closed trades= 287 pips, and trades still open =57, i am closing some trades manually, using steves mptm, it seems to take the trades early comparing the platform with my other platform where i have edsel trading it manually

What time frame are you running it on? Thanks for sharing your experience. Much appreciated

hi trader, the setting, yes i'm running it on 4 hour charts, i will close trades manually if i'm around and good profit is showing and the trade is near support or resistance, i have steves mptm set at BE 25+5 part closed set to false, and also jumping stop set to false, the rest ootb, bottom line its about taking money off the table, this is all on demo, yesterday it made 334 pips, without my intervention, i know what will happen if i go live with this knowing my luck it will start losing, but try it let me know how you get on

dont think like that, when a system is good, luck has little to do with it.
Even if the first two will be losers, if a system wins 90% of trades, it just means that the next 98 you will make lots of pips...

I would wait until January to go live... from my exp december is a miserable month
