hi trader, the setting, yes i'm running it on 4 hour charts, i will close trades manually if i'm around and good profit is showing and the trade is near support or resistance, i have steves mptm set at BE 25+5 part closed set to false, and also jumping stop set to false, the rest ootb, bottom line its about taking money off the table, this is all on demo, yesterday it made 334 pips, without my intervention, i know what will happen if i go live with this knowing my luck it will start losing, but try it let me know how you get on

Hi all, Is any one having any luck coding "TCO" with NB's 10.6?
i notice it been a few days since the last posting.
I have just today downloaded it and started trialing TCO on 24 pairs, at this stage it's taking trades
one thing i would like to see is a way to check to see if any open trades are at risk-free, in the case of a second trade on a pair.
I am not a programmer, more a "cut-in-past" butcher lol

I honestly believe testing has come to a temporary halt, due to the useless holiday season. While I have a demo running just to see how the EA will do in this climate, I have paused my other demo of this system last week until January. It was avg 2% a week.

Thanks for the quick response, yes end of year malaise is upon us again!

WOW! 2% a week, that’s a great result, how long were you trialing it for and what was the draw-down like?
I don’t know if it is being done now, but I think if a few bright sparks from around here got together and demoed this EA then correlated the results, I think it would benefit all.

As I said I have only just started down the road of trialing the EA, so what I am looking at doing if it’s possible is open up a few (at least 6, probably more) demos and leaving them alone for three months minimum. I hope to have this setup and ready to start by January.

Hi cad0811, Thanks for the question.
I put “stoch_mp” in as a second entry trigger that could be used for either longs or shorts; I also changed the code to reflect just that as well. Basically it’s to catch those trades that don’t go all under the 20 or over the 80 then revert back to the trend.
Hey as I said to lonelytrader I was going to trial it along with other changes to see what works and how it affects the performance of the EA.
I have now created a problem that sometimes the EA will take two trades instead of one, but I am working on a fix for that.

This ea's success on demo has not been reflected on a live account. Admittedly Dec always seems to be difficult given the volumes are not perpetuated and the level of predictability diminishes with any indicator in my view.
Every trade in my live account this month has been in the red. Not one in the black.
So exercise caution but given that it is a difficult time, I will be reinstating it mid to late January again

Thanks for that info, i was unaware that there would be any difference between a demo v live accounts as far as the data used.
