Your is the same as mine CSS which is the 24 pairs. Amount of pairs is up to you you can specialize in what you know or have a variety. You will want as many JPY pairs because that is a known quantity as far as fundamentals. Let me tell you what I dont trade
eur/chf, eur/gbp, aud/nzd they just dont move enough to deal with aud/cad can fit there too.
I hate the chf and never seem to do well with that one but that is probably more personal than reality.
chf has tied itself to the euro so it is the same as trading the euro. I will trade gbp/chf over the eur/chf because it moves more and can get more pips. usd/chf and eur/usd are basically the same.
The only exception is the aud/chf. I like trading it because when it changes direction, it changes direction. It doesnt mess around stagnating. Once you get into its trend it is a nice pair to trade. Just look at a daily chart and see the nice V patterns when it changes direction.
I trade the NZD quite a bit because it usually follows the aud on the CSS chart (not recently though) So when the aud changes direction I start looking for NZD change of direction. I love trading the gbp/nzd and eur/nzd. They are wild rides and really move. To other people trading those two can give one a heart attack. Since the first week of August I have gotten over 3000 pips on the gbp/nzd alone 111 wins and 20 losses. that is about 9 winning trades a week and less than two losers. If you look at the monthly its 1400 pips up one month 1400 pips down then 1400 ups and then 1400 down. Just ranging nicely until ...................????
The USD has been in a range since Obama took office so not too difficult. Just look at a monthly chart since 2008 and you will see what I mean.
gbp just ranges and easy to trade and CT trade.
Good luck
