Hi friends,

I have chosen three expert advisors from this forum (compatibles between them), I have opened a well funded live account and put them there (as in my signature).

I have replaced all my demos with this live account. The money management of this live account is clear: 0.01 lots for every 1,000 euros on each EA.

What is the proposal? Analyze the global live evolution of this account.

Which is the period of this experiment? Indefinite, because this is a live account that will not be closed unless it is margin called.

Which are the EAs? Two of them are multipair and the third has enough pairs to go.

Will this live account survive? I think so. What I am assuring you is that I will not intervene manually in any way. Only to replace the EAs with update versions.

Why do I do this experiment? I have faith in the three EAs. I know that from time to time they will take the same positions and will increment the DD, but I think they will recover.

Nothing more for now.

José Luis, I have added a link to this thread to my weekly round up. FWIW, I suggest you do not tell us which EA's you are testing until you start to come to some firm conclusions. That way you avoid the inevitable questions around your methodology that will otherwise arise. An explanation of those can come if you pick a winner.

Guys, I would not normally encourage this sort of mystical, ephemeral sort of thread but JL is an original thinker of huge value here. So, I massively endorse this thread and ask you guys to go with it to see where the journey leads.

Just subscribe to the thread, ok, so you will at least know when JL posts.

Hi,

I have not posted anything here from the first post, because I have been very busy solving some problems between the three EAs that operate this account: redundancies, overlaping, an EA that operates by pair not by magic number, etc.

My solution has been to transform the single pair EA in a new multipair EA and abandon the EA that operates single pairs.

Another issue was the distance between trades or the grid distance between the same pair, using different EAs. I have let them go simply in their way, opening as many trades as they want, but without using martingale for recovery.

My main task has been to find a method of filtrating operations (buy or sell) by pair, having in account the pair trends, and without using CSS. The problem arises after one of the EAs took a sell EURAUD or a buy AUDJPY, that still have not been closed, and that I would have not taken in any case.

For that I implemented a filter for the three EAs that discriminates between buys and sell positions depending on the pair and its trend.

The EAS are now on their way and conform what I call a system, operating in the short, medium and long timeframes.

I am not stopping this experiment for Christmas, nor closing the AUD positions. For me the EAs must been capable of adapting to any market situation.

Hi Jose,

Can i suggest a mod for your live account ?
Close all positions if DD is < 1% and ( DD(Prev Day/Hour) and DD(Prev Day/Hour +1) > 1%)
Account goes through cycle of high and low DD, you should take advantage of low DD to get rid of very old trades.

Just a suggestion for your consideration.

what happend to your account it says there is a 20% loss over the weekend? Is your stop loss 20% and was this a normal stop loss hit of one of your strategies or several together? I would love to hear something about how you manage your risk with this well diversified portfolio consistion of more than 20 pairs.
