Read the effing manual, ok?
Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.
I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.
Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

V 1a of the Flexible Stoch EA's is in post 1.
I decided to delete irrelevant code from the trade decision process. Doing so lead me to a bloop in the indi reading code.
You can force the ea's to send a trade whilst the markets are still open. Go to line 979 insert into the buy version:
StochVal[1] = 0;
StochVal[0] = 30;
Recompile and the ea will send the trade. Use, say, 100 and 70 in the sell version.
Whichever version is on the wrong side of the moving averages will then immediately send the trade, then close the trade and suspend itself.
Don't forget to remove the trade-forcing code once you have finished - I am always doing that.

Steve...I have been demo trading 10.6 Edsel manually by just setting pending trades (so not using your helper EA's), but have been trying to implement as required a mini recovery system similar to what you have described above, however on occasions have missed being able to close out trades as they reach break even or better by not being at the pc at the time.
Is it possible (and if you have time) for you to write a 'recovery only' management EA that can be placed on a chart that could take over management of multiple trades of the same pair. Simplified user inputs to include close at break even, close at x pips above breakeven?
So to be clear the EA wouldn't take trades, only manage those trades (by currency pair) already open.

Thank you Steve, will test it out !SteveHopwood wrote:V 1a of the Flexible Stoch EA's is in post 1.

I understand that as it is coded right now, all the Stoch EAs do not check the prevailing trend. I may be wrong but this is my observation of past testing results. One safety feature which could be useful for all Stoch EAs including the Flexible EAs is that the EA will be disabled when it is put on a chart with the wrong trend. It could prevent a trader may accidentally put on a Stoch Sell EA on a chart where PA is in an UT or vice versa. Hopefully some costly silly mistake can be avoided.

Re: Steve's 10.6 EA manual trading aids
Just remember I coded it without the ability to test it. Granted, all I really had to do was strip out the trading code from one of the helper ea's, so it should be ok, but do the usual and test it on demo first.fxozgirl wrote:thanks Steve, much appreciatedSteveHopwood wrote:Post 1 Shelley; you can't miss it.fxozgirl wrote:

Steve, glad to report that in the last few days, test results of the new Flexible Stoch EAs are fine. They are really useful to automate the trading process. Thank you !
