There is no purpose posting the history. I've just tested the functions not their profitability. They are not automatic EAs, I just use them as tools to trade Bob's system manually. You should not use it like an automatic EAs.

here's what the flexible SELL ea is doing.. soon as you add it to a chart. open, close, open close, open close.... on and on until you have to setup another demo. The buy EA works perfectly though ! so thanks for that steve ! and all your hard work. sorry your sell ea is kinda acting funny

Steve...I have been demo trading 10.6 Edsel manually by just setting pending trades (so not using your helper EA's), but have been trying to implement as required a mini recovery system similar to what you have described above, however on occasions have missed being able to close out trades as they reach break even or better by not being at the pc at the time.

Is it possible (and if you have time) for you to write a 'recovery only' management EA that can be placed on a chart that could take over management of multiple trades of the same pair. Simplified user inputs to include close at break even, close at x pips above breakeven?
So to be clear the EA wouldn't take trades, only manage those trades (by currency pair) already open.

Just remember I coded it without the ability to test it. Granted, all I really had to do was strip out the trading code from one of the helper ea's, so it should be ok, but do the usual and test it on demo first.

Hi Steve, the Recovery EA is working really well, however I notice that it adjusts the BE line in accordance with open trades and pending trades. Is it possible for the EA to ignore the pending trades until they have been taken?
I have found on a couple of occasions when I have placed 2 or more pending recovery trades, the EA has dutifully calculated the BE line based on all the trades and at times I have had trades closed still at a loss as not all the pendings were hit yet.

No trouble Shelley. I will do this in time for market open after the weekend. I will also add an input that will tell the manager whether or not to delete outstanding pendings if recovery break even is reached.

I decided to make the edits whilst thinking about them Shelley, so V 1a is in post 1.

DeletePendingsAtBreakeven (Recovery inputs) tells the ea whether to delete further Recovery pendings or not - defaults to 'true'.

We have self-removing helper EA'a.

These unload themselves from the chart once they have finished their work. Details in 'EA Self-Removal' towards the bottom of post 1. The updated EA's will show V1b in the feedback. Big thanks to madpipa for providing the link to the relevant code.
