Hi Radar,

Testing speed depends on the EA.
A "normal" EA can finish backtest of 2-4 years in 30 mins or less.

Would you like to take the challenge and make a "slimmer" version of BASA ?
The current version takes wayyyy too long to backtest.

Hi SpiderX, this is off topic to 3 Little Pigs but is this your MTF version you are referring to?
I don't really understand the coding changes you have made (not meaning in relation to the strategy) but have noticed that your version is much more cpu intensive than the BASA that Steve has coded.

Perhaps some of your changes need more resources? Not sure but thought I would mention it.

This seems similar to the 4 Ducks EA that Steve coded a while ago. Similar idea in that it trades in the direction of three timeframes in agreement (3 ducks). Steve then added the 240 LWMA from Nanningbob as the 4th duck. The project went dormant. If I recall correctly, Steve was trying to re-use code from the BASA EA and hit a few hiccups. The trade strategy makes sense. Not sure if anything can be used from that thread but thought I would mention it here in case it is of some assistance.

I think this EA need stacking in order to make the cut and take maximum benefit of trending periods.
Having a set profit target and stop loss caps the full potential of the EA.
Just my 2 cents.

Can we play with settings ?

Normally it should with the latest one be no problem to change the tf, as fxdaytrader had embedded some code for this..
Did you do it like fxdaytrader has described?

Hi Tommaso,

Please find my current results for the ea, currently running it on 5 pairs of choice.
I'm running it on 4hr charts and the only settings if I have changed are the BE to 45 and jumpstop to 15.

I found the trades that it did take all ended up been stopped out, hence I put the jump stop to 15 wanted to catch any profits that were on offer. The EA did manage to catch the USDCAD move yesterday. I do agree with the stacking comment.
