I am having problems with the info page. My broker is Oanda. I have the template show up and the indicators are in the right folder, but there is no info on it. The currency symbols seem doubled up or something. I am really new to this so it could be something really stupid.

We usually have to load up the indicator/template and then change the time frame to boot it into life. Whenever the ind shows nothing on the chart, change the time frame.

Don't know if this will solve the problem with Oanda, but give it a try.

I've had issues when I used Oanda with the infopage, you'll probably have to wait for the market to be open.

Afternoon fellow newbies,

I have worked my way through all the PDFs and am half way through the forum threads on 10.6. Slowly digesting all the wonderful advice....!

I do have a couple of questions that hopefully one of you clever souls may be able to help me with

1. How long do you leave a pending order open for before deciding that its not going to fill and the trade is off?

2. Do you wait for the candle to close before assessing all the criteria ( ie sto7) is met before entering a trade? Or will you enter the trade as soon as a signal is given?

3. Do you only trade pairs that the CSS info page are showing as strong/weak and angling in opposing directions? Or will you take any that signal on the charts ?

Hoping someone can help!

Bob would undoubtedly do better to answer this but these are my thoughts:
1. Judgement call. If i think trade is still valid I will leave it open. I will close on perception of a trend change always.
2. I do not wait for candle to close but enter a trade after assessing when the signal is given. Occasionally this causes me a very sore backside. (I do not as a rule take countertrend trades so unless the trend is clear and the signal is with the trend I am in no rush. The hardest thing to develop in Forex I believe is PATIENCE.
3. What I do and what I believe I should do on this are two different things. I normally take the trade signals without regard to the CSS if I like the setup. Again this often results in the sore backside referred to in the previous answer.

I am pretty much with Roger - I do not find CSS helpful to me (this is not a criticism of CSS, merely a statement that I am too thick to use it properly). And have a sore backside this week.

another newbie question for you....

Bob states that he takes quick profits and then reenters trades that are still trending at the next 000/050 level.

Will his criteria ( or anyone elses ) just be that the dummy lights are the correct colour and the Sto7 still in an upward/downward direction in order to justify a re entry ? Or will the Sto7 need to be in the top/bottom zones as per initial entry rules? What if the Sto7 indicates oversold/overbought ?

Will you wait for candle confirmation maybe?
