what about this setup?
eur/aud: below both moving averages; stoch was at 100 and now dropping below 80, css daily eur going down and aud going up.
any opinions....

Nice one, Aserschan, particularly if it breaks below 240ma.
However, there is proven support just below.

That is the setup. That is how it is done. The odds are now in your favor not only for a profitable trade but the kind of move that breaks support. Doesnt mean it will but you can see it coming. It may not happen on this run but you got the idea of the system. Put your pending sells at the xxx.00 and xxx.050 lines and let it rip. You can profit line to line which I do most of the time or you can see if it runs. I usually go from line to line unless I know a fundamental is going to make it run You understand the basics.aserschan » Tue Jan 07, 2014 4:12 am wrote:what about this setup?

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
You go to the 4H chart of the pair you wish to trade and wait for a setup. See the guys post above he has it right. CSS tells where to go look. 4H chart tells you the best place to enter your trades. All the 4H CSS is telling you price is retracing.kenguo2000 » Mon Jan 06, 2014 6:55 pm wrote:oh sorry I wasn't clear, I don't mean eur/chf pair
I meant eur (and also the CHF) is starting to angle up on H4 whereas on the daily it's still angling down.
it has been quite straightforward thus far cos it has been angling down both on H4 & daily.
we sell the eur pairs and the pips come in
i'm curious how a currency will tend to behave when it begins to angle up on H4 while it's still angling down on daily
Thanks!

It used to drive me nuts reading all what trading guru's did. Now I can see it with a glance. 10.6 gives you a read on the market and if you grasp it then you see all the other stuff. Candle formations, patterns, trend line breaks, 1,2,3 patterns, higher highs, lower lows, divergence, convergence, etc. etc. The thing is if you can read that CSS properly you then look for the other stuff and it comes alive on the screen.SteveHopwood » Mon Jan 06, 2014 10:26 pm wrote:I used to get that feeling during Maths lessons in school. I have tried reading about CSS, but it feels like
I know this might have been discussed to death, and I feel like an idiot for asking again, but can you please give an example using current CSS, what you would be looking at for trades.
Thank you in advance

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
Hi Guys, sorry to belabour a point, but...
The CSS that I have displayed on my live account differs quite wildly from what I see posted here. So I am thinking that it is a Crim issue? So, I will try using my Cowboy IBFX demo account for trading decisions, so that at least I am looking at the same info as everyone else...

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
Just to show I am not crazy, attached are the two different CSS windows...
Now, my analysis based on Cowboy IBFX would be:
GBP, USD, NZD, AUD & EUR seem to be flattening out, arresting their respective marches from last week and yesterday, which could mean that they would be resuming their previous trends...
CAD & CHF are continuing to weaken, and JPY is still strengthening ??? Given the above, we could be looking at a ranging market today until direction is given by the CSS?
H
PS, the bottom CSS is from Cowboy IBFX

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
Anyway, based on the CSS reads and my own take on Bob's comments, I am long AJ, GJ, NJ, UJ & NU, but I have to admit, that some of these positions are coming from the 2nd Jan, so I may have jumped the gun...
Based on the CSS and the Dummy lights I have set pendings for:
ACHF (L)
EA (S)
ECAD (S)
EN (S)
EU (S)
GCHF (L)
NCHF(L)
NU (L)
UCHF (L)
I am assuming that the pendings should be reviewed every time we look at the CSS to see if there are any changes, and cancel and reset accordingly?

Re: 10.6 EDSEL
Guys I just posted my commets on the CSS just two days ago. Daily charts dont change that rapidly so I have no more to report on CSS. My comments remain the same, so you need to go back a couple of pages and look at the charts and comments again.
