Commencing Feb 2014, I am going to start posting trades taken on my live account. I am in the process of building a portfolio of 3-4 strategies to trades live...at the moment I have 2, with a goal to achieve 5% growth per month per strategy.

1. BASA fully automated EA found here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=2759 which I have been trading live since the last week of August 2013 and currently up 14.78% to the end of January 2014

2. Manual trading 10.6 EDSEL, predominantly cherry picking trend following trades. I traded in this manner on my live account for January 2014 and achieved in excess of 6% growth, whilst still learning on demo as well.

3. To be decided - This will be another automated strategy and at this stage I am leaning towards Dudest's TMA:CG EA found here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=3372 of which I have been testing. I expect it will still be at least another month or 2 before I include this strategy (if I do)

4. Entropy - when it becomes stable, I will be adding it to my live portfolio

Due to work commitments, BASA trades will be posted either in the morning or evening AEST/AEDST and will be after the fact. With the 10.6 trades, I place pending orders and I will post them as I set them up. My biggest weakness with my manual trading is that I am loath to close a loser and do not utilise SL. To that end I have also incorporated a recovery system to assist in closing trades that have gone wrong as quickly as possible at Break Even, although part of the purpose of this journal is to help me think through the trades I am taking more clearly which will hopefully result in reduced drawdown and less reliance on recovery.

I will try and post as many charts as possible and will post weekly results.

Just set up all my terminals this morning ready for open of trading, but I have disabled BASA on my Cowboy Go Markets account until I get home from work until I see if Go force the Empty4 update that may result in EA's/indicators not working correctly.

The only exception is I have an open BASA USDJPY trade which is already at BE +2 with half lots closed (currently +50) which I have left the EA turned on...no damage can be done to this trade, so will have a live test if the update does proceed.

In terms of 10.6, on a Monday I also wait until I get home (around the start of the London session) before I look for any trades.
This is for 2 reasons: 1. Trading doesn't open until after I have left for work and 2. It gives the market time to get moving after the weekend and readings are more reliable by the first London open.

Price has moved too far away from sell limit, I was annoyed I missed the sell stop at that level but confident price is still heading down.

Deleted NZDJPY Sell Limit order and placed a Sell stop @ 82.480
