Hi All,

I have an Cowboy IBFX demo that updated to build 584 when I did a restart. Everything seemed to be OK till an EA I have went to place a USDJPY trade and it tried to modify TP and SL with 75 TP and 48 SL. It decided to try and change TP and S/L to .00008 increase on TP and .00005 on SL

The other pairs work fine but it seems to have a problem with the yen decimal point. Anyone else having this issue?

It looks quite a bit different. I was trying to set up Entropy but quickly was stymied by the different file folder structure.

I don't need a FinFx demo cos I have Global Prime. US residents, do give them a try as Craig recommends them. Mind, if they are the first to throw in the towel to those cowboys at CrapperQuotes..........

Yep, we found this out today and we are pissed to say the least. As promised we haven't updated our current demo/live clients to the new build and we won't until we are ready. However the installation file for any new live/demo Empty4 installations automatically point to Metaquotes for the files and guess what they are sending.. Build 600.

We have emailed Metaquotes to see if we can replace our installation file with an older build until we sign off. Haven't heard back yet. Will keep you updated.

So again to clarify:

1. If you have a GP Empty4 platform already installed there are no changes yet.
2. If you install a new GP Empty4 platform it will be build 600 as pushed by Metaquotes.

My understanding is that if any platform is installed in C:\Program Files/, they will be automatically altered to match every MQ updates. If you do not want this to happen, you must install to C:\; then your installation remains immune to MQ updates. The updates are now up to 600 but all my old platforms have remained at 509 because of this location issue. Only my MQ platform (also in C:\ by the way) has kept up with the upgrades as I intended.

It is advisable that everyone should have this MQ platform running with all their vital files, so that they can already find out which ones have issues with the new environment as it changes from day to day. It is where we are all going to end up, you might as well start getting to know it now.

It is amazing how MQ maintains that previous files will continue to run as usual when basic file paths have changed and a handful of issues have arisen already:

1. I find that any self-calling MTF indicator will NOT work in the new update. Fortunately there is a work-around for this - the clumsy way it used to be done previously, using two files instead of one. You can check it up in this old thread here:

2. Perhaps the more painful one is that previous dlls will also not work anymore because any files using them will be looking in the wrong location. Still haven't figured out what to do about this - very very painful indeed.

Any application upgrade should be for the greater convenience of its users. Not this one, I don't think.
