Extreme TMA at FF

Just want to bring to the attention of this forum the following thread at FF. They have refined this manual trading approach a good bit now and are getting very good results .

I am sure many here are already looking at it.

The OP Al , seems to have a very good grip on his thread and from his post seems to be a quality guy..
He has managed to keep his eye on the important stuff and is making good progress.

Worth a look if you haven't already. His approach has evolved but is one of the rare threads where it would appear it has evolved for the better.

I really don't know Gary, I surely haven't read the whole thing..
Al has kept the first post updated with his ideas so at least you can get the important stuff from the horses mouth right off the bat..
And he has some good help chipping in ...

Thanks for posting the link Rocky! I use TMA in my trading and have been looking for something similar to the TMAslope they are using in that system for a while to use as a trade filter/trigger.

Going to try it out, will post my results here for better or worse.

Try the TIG approach. George reads the first few posts, then cuts to the end to see if anything of the original method is still left.

Lol! No need Steve. In the SECOND chart he posts, there are completely different indicators to the first one explaining the strategy..........

Actually, if you read the first post it gives you most of what you need to know. The method has changed very little from the beginning.

The indies used have been updated or modified not replaced , one has been eliminated but the chart attached to post #1 which is what is in the current zip is almost unchanged . Basically a slightly modified TMA band and TMA slope with THV pivots.

This strategy is VERY similar to my trading methodology. however I trade on the 4 hr chart and use TMA_true...TMA bands by their very nature look amazing historically, as they recalculate the past. This means you cannot set the deviation correctly for different pairs by looking at historical data. And the TMA slope they are using suffers from the same issue as a result.

I wonder if one of the brilliant coders here could code a TMAslope indicator using the same formula as the TMAtrue attached, to eliminate recalculating of the indy. Sometimes the truth hurts! I would love to test that!

ahah, before xmas you would have seen i posted in the coders section....

my bloop was not checking the correct buffers were outputting...

the indicator in question was TMA!

youll notice the buffers are different in the TMA.mq4 that was doing the rounds then to the ex4! crafty feckers... hey ho.. theres an mq4 now.....

i outputted the buffers as comments and i still use the ex4....... horses for courses.
