For example the eur/cad and gbp/chf have both just broken the 240 MA line. There maybe a retrace before the push through but both are right there at the change of direction.

Nice insight Bob, thanks a lot. I'm still getting a grasp of everything that's been presented lately. At this momento I would like to observe the correlation of GBPUSD, which we're expecting to go down as per Al's analysis (no guarantees) and the seemingly increase of strenght or deceleration of weaknes in GBP.nanningbob » Wed Mar 26, 2014 8:52 pm wrote:A place to look for a trade where there could be good action is when pairs cross outside the 20/-20 lines. A situation is coming where the chf and eur are getting ready to cross the gbp and cad. This can lead to some good movement because as one slows and one accelerates (whether on positive or negative side) there often is a big move. Look for the gbp/chf buys and eur/gbp sells to have nice moves. Also the cad/chf buy (I dont have this pair) and eur/cad sell as good looking trades.
To understand the analogy think of you coming to a stop sign and you are just beginning to slow down and a car that already has passed through the intersection is speeding up heading for you. The difference in distance once the car passes you accelerating and your car still moving decelerating can increase dramatically. So Thursday and Friday are the most volatile days of the week so you can go to these pairs and look for trades.
I'll keep a look on the pairs you propose. Thanks mate!

GBP is decelerating in its weakness. In other words it is still weakening but at a slower pace. Once you grasp that thought in reading this thing it helps you to understand it. The USD is at flat 0 so in essence it is not moving as a total of all its pairs. Against the gbp it is still stronger because the GBP is still weakening but at a slower pace. So I expect these two to range with a light tilt to the downside.Anthar » Thu Mar 27, 2014 11:05 am wrote:Nice insight Bob, thanks a lot. On the gbp/usd you can see the range area and on the 4H you can see the downward slope of the ranging pair.

Bob,
I notice you're using v2.0 of the CSS indi. Would you mind posting it please?

Yes, I'm getting that concept more and more into my head as I read your analysis and observe you interpretation of CSS and how pairs move. The car analogy is actually very useful to get a grasp of this concept. And the new additions by Al fit perfectly into place, now, let's see how they all interact together. Thank you again for your input Bob.nanningbob » Wed Mar 26, 2014 9:53 pm wrote: GBP is decelerating in its weakness. In other words it is still weakening but at a slower pace. There is no difference between 2.0 and other versions. I only set the True False settings so it can be used on 1 chart. I dont even know if this one is Empty4 6.xxxx update compatible. I rename them for my test versions but the CSS hasnt changed. I change the name to experiment with the indi without affecting the original. The latest update has the 4H and Daily numbers showing on one screen for the 24 pairs but does not on the single pairs. It says D1 on single pairs in the right hand corner but that is not correct. The numbers and lines however are for the TF it is on. So if you switch time frames the numbers and lines will change to the TF but the D1 stays the same. Anyway here it is but we have been using this for a while now.onward62 » Thu Mar 27, 2014 11:58 am wrote:Bob,

Hi Davek, I had same problem (I have a 6.xx Empty4 build), I found that that changing TF back and forth, then adding indicator multiple times, eventually caused the indicator to work. So for me it was a case of keep trying because eventually it did work, sorry that's sounds very untechnical, but maybe that will help.davek » Wed Mar 26, 2014 8:34 pm wrote:Hi Tommaso:milanese » Wed Mar 26, 2014 12:43 pm wrote:art,try the attached one I modified a lit and it runs here with no problem on a 625 build ..art » Wed Mar 26, 2014 6:07 pm wrote:no error messages tomasso

TMA info 0.41 works on my EURUSD and GBPUSD charts, but on my GBPCAD chart it does not, shows up in grey but all values are 9.0, and I get in my experts tab an zero divide error and a global initialization failed. Have not tried any other charts, why would it work on eurusd and gbpusd and not on the gbpcad, very strange, any ideas as to why, Tommaso?
thanks again,
davek

A little bit offtopic, but it could influence or corrupt your indicator and EA codes.
int a,b;
a=3/5*10;
b=3*10/5;
Do you think that a equals b? Well no, a=0 and b=6...
Why? Because in stupid MQL4 if an equation contains ONLY integer type data or variables,
then not only the result will be integer type, but the result of the sub-calculations too.
In case of 'a' 3/5=0.6 casted into integer which is 0, then 0*10=0. Funny, isn't it?
Declaring a and b as 'double' does not help either.
Which works is direct typecasting:
a=(double)3/5*10;
So be aware of it when coding. Tommaso, any thoughts?

I'm using 10.6 for 2 weeks now, and harvested 5.000+ pips during the time.
At the moment I'm experiencing huge DD of over 2.000 pips, due to the CAD-pairs not doing what I expected....
After Al's tip to use only 1 chart and drag the pair from the Marketwatch onto it to reduce processor-load, I had a good look at all the pairs I'm trading and see that using the TMA would have kept me out of those DD-trades.
Thanks Bob for 10.6 and Al for the great addition of the TMA and how to use it!
