Interesting for
non-German readers: the article links to dozens of NSA docs in English underlining the core statements of the article.
One of the core statements: internet security stands and falls with strong encryption algorithms. NSA docs state that they're having real trouble when properly implemented open standards in open source software is used to enhance privacy in online communication.
One of the most well known developers in this field is German Werner Koch and his Open Source GnuPG project. After hearing that he and his colleages are really struggling at the moment to keep up their valuable work and seem to be unable to fund an additional paid developer's post I decided to post this link to Werner's
