10.9 10.7 Combo with Hedging
I take the signal 1 candle later on the open 4hr chart. or 4 candles later on the 1Hr chart.
SELL
1) When Daily and Weekly align At Bottom, WE ENTER first trade.
2) check 1 hr chart for additional innerscale entries in the same direction,
a) when stochastic cross down 90, 70 for sell
3) when Daily goes Opposite Weekly,
a) we close out all innerscale entries
b) we hedge same open amount lot-size
4) when it Daily aligns weekly again in the same trade direction.
a) we close the Hedge
b) we Start a new SCALE entry. and we have TRADE (1) and this scale Entry open.
5) REPEAT Steps 2 till 3 until WEEKLY flips to the UPSIDE
6) Special scenario.
BUY similar but the other way around.
REMARK
The Only Tricky thing i still need to get under control is that the Daily or Weekly just FLIP in the middle of the day or Week. that's a little stressy, and the suggested thing is too close it out.
How do handle that Bob, since it can break up the possible Move in the range periods. while u could get more out of it.

10.9 DAILY/WEEKLY TRADES ONLY
I am in the same situation workwise (I guess we all are!). I spend maybe about 15-30mins before work and another 30mins in the evening. During the day I monitor for any surprise movements on my smartphone (close trades in profit).liberty55 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 1:58 pm wrote:Hi at all, big thank at all the persons to contribuate for this strategy. Finaly, I think to find what I need for me ( work all the day ( 7h00 to 17h00) in Montréal).
I have some questions :
1. how much time do you spend to see yous charts with a daily startegy?? Do you think if we have a particular time to analyse the charts ( end of the day ex.) or you drive only with the warning alerts from the indics????
question for Gertje: in the case of milipede building, do you use a taling to protect the fiirst trades that the market has tooked???
don you use pending orders???
this morning, with some mistakes on the gold chart, with lot size egal to 0.03 ( nano lot) I closed a partial position with a gain around 4%...
have a good day at all

Also consider going swap positive only for even less stressful trading. I have had trades open now for weeks and all I do is look at daily/weekly and say yep, still good and carry on with my life. Yes, drawdown fluctuates a lot once you start, but my drawdown has settled around the 4-6% mark. I have some trades that are 300 pips in the hole but I say so what - still looks awesome on weekly. When the time is right I will stack another trade in the direction of the very long term trend.

D1 Trades taken this week on Tuesday, let it grow..
Short GBPCHF +86 pips
Short AUDCHF +33 pips
Long EURCAD +146 pips
Using TMA+CG boldtraders settings, fib retracement patterns or divergence, combined with 10.9 STO 7 alert. Target will be somewhere opposite TMA. Got 2 other limit orders set in case price retests the entry level.
Been working all week, not much screen time, missed some other setups, not so bad.

Careful, Ludo. It WILL NOT look that pretty in realtime. It looks so perfect because that indicator repaints, changing the indicator history to match what the market did. Watch it in realtime for a while before you decide if it's useful or not.ludowillems » Thu Apr 10, 2014 11:18 am wrote:I read some time ago an explanation about CSS: the DIFFERENCE between the currencies is important, not their relative position above/below the zero line. Agreed, GaryFritz; Realty using TMA based on history can be a real eye opener experience.. not to mention the hit to the margin account. Ludo, please take Gary's advice to heart.. use it for several months in demo, in real time action, before trading it live. It only works based on current bar action. You must have the experience to know how to adjust to market conditions when using it. I studied it 2+ years before learning how to use it against most all conditions (not all). It will leave you wanting.
Cheers.

I understood that the indi has the user input "ignore future". If set to "true", that should prevent the repainting. Can someone confirm this ? For the time being, I'll put two instances on the same chart and see what happens.

The Only Tricky thing i still need to get under control is that the Daily or Weekly just FLIP in the middle of the day or Week. that's a little stressy, and the suggested thing is too close it out.
How do handle that Bob, since it can break up the possible Move in the range periods. while u could get more out of it?
Simple, I dont care. Profit is profit and squeezing out every last penny only costs me money. When you trade multiple pairs there are trades every day to be taken. If I take 30 pips and it goes a 100 more, I am happy with my 30. In other words I dont spend a lot of time wondering if I just .................... I trade, make a profit and go on. As most of you know I just take profit around the middle of each session. What ever a session gives me I take. Now that is not what this thread is about though.
I do all three kinds of trading. I range trade, trend trade, CT trade. So if the trend is done, I am done and switch to range trading. The worst thing that happens to a trader is to sit on a profit and then watch it disappear. Profits pocketed compound, profits open and losses open do not. I look at a run and see how many pips I got out of it. For example I posted a couple weeks ago the gbp/cad. During the week it went from high to low around 250 pips. Instead I would take my profit after every run and reenter on the retrace. I even added an extra trade or two here and there. When the week was done I had banked over 400 pips. So I closed a trade after 30 when it went 50. It retraced and I got another 30 when it moved 50, then it retraced and I got 60 when it moved a 100, then it retraced and so on. When the week was done I pocketed more pips than the move. So I dont care if price runs more than I got. When the retrace happened I get it again. It is not unusual for me to make more pips when the market is ranging than when it is trending.
This day trade thing is going to be wild to me. move 120 go back to 30, move 150 back to 70, etc. I dont know if I can stand watching a profit disappear on me.
