BTW, I had previously compiled the indicators in 625!

For anyone else having this problem, I saved the 2 indicators in the MQ4/Indicators, opened the platform, attached the template (no ribbons), closed the platform, re-opened the platform and voila...ribbons are there!

I thought I'd apply the ribbon to futures and bitcoin markets to see what happens. I have some screenshots to share but it seems offtopic here so I will refrain from posting. I used TradeSimv2 to get the visual shots and this works through Crapergy Tester - so maybe I have to find another way to visually backtest manual systems before sharing? Also, I won't post the working T4MA-works.ex4 file as maybe that might annoy someone too so if you need it feel free to PM.

edit: p.s. Forgot to say thanks for that video It's really easier to understand to hear it this way and it was great to watch. Wish you the best of health. I had a cold last week too... took a bunch of algae pills (for omega3) and vitamin c tablets... even got a massage and forced myself to go for a swim in the sea. Lost it in a couple of days when people around me seem to have it for a week. Could be coincidence or placebo of course and I apologise for unrequested advise but this is the 3rd time the vitC & omega3 has worked for me. Could be worth a shot.

No I think there is something to the vitamin thing especially as you get older. Your body need more of them. I think bitcoin is interesting and I was interested in building a litecoin mining machine because bitcoin seems more vulnerable. Impossible to mine bitcoin anymore without very expensive equipment. Trading it would different I suppose.

There will be more videos coming hopefully later today.

At some point in time I will need to look at a rewrite of the ribbon indicator and t3ma I guess. I think with the language upgrade the ribbons can now use fills and not have to use the histogram bars to do a fill. That way it would not matter how zoomed in the chart got the ribbons would stay filled. Also it would be nice to have just one indicator per time period that did the work of the 6 or 7 I am using now. However that is off in the future.

Hey Doug,

I had a play with the T3MA indie, and it now compiles and works with v625... There was only a couple of minor syntax errors which pre-6xx would still work with, (though, according to their old docs, it shouldn't have).

I also looked at the ribbon indie, which works fine as is, so no need to update that As for a multi-timeframe version, that might take quite a while, as it uses 4 indicator buffers for each timeframe There is a work-around, but it takes a fair bit of shuffling arrays in and out of the buffers to get it to work properly. I'll have a look when I find the array thread on forexfactory.

I spent around 8 hours checking out the ribbons in Empty4's slacktester, (I was testing an EA I'm working on, and figured I'd kill 2 stones with 1 bird (you don't know some of the birds I know)), and it was so easy to spot where price was going to turn around. Thanks for pulling it all together and posting it here

Fabulous Radar. Will add this to the bundle when I am back to my computer. Really appreciate your effort and time.
I understand the buffer limitations just for clarity what I am talking about is a multi setting indicator not a true MTF indicator. Unless I am wrong in my thinking the math has to be done for each individual period and cannot adjust with the changing of time period. However I imagine that the buffers will still be an obstacle.

I will spend a lot of Tuesday looking at all Bobs system 10.7-10.10 threads and than I will make a video once I understand it and have it fully implemented into Gann. I suspect you will want to individualize the setting to your style of trading. So I will go through the indicator setting in the video. I will try to have this done in the next couple of days. These indicators have been updated so quickly I want to try to understand the evolution of the changes a little better. Try to understand what settings BoB is using on his templates and how best to adapt them to Gann. Signals need to be supportive of the Gann Ribbons or we are just turning the templates into a 10.x system. That may be the best thing to do on the 240, daily and weekly but not as I see it on the lower time periods. I like the filtering the indicator does but I have not found alarms very helpful on the 5, 15, 30 and 60. If you are going to leave the indicator alarms on it could be more a distraction than help on the lower time periods. The indicator is easy enough to read without alarms. I do not see my trading being informed by alarms on these periods but more so by the ribbons and Better Volume.
