Swap Interest synthetic hedge strategy?

Hi there all...

Well, I have finally come to the conclusion that I cannot trade to make a profit (for me anyway, I am sure that my brokers love me

). Six years is a long time to take to figure that out and lose hope.....

Anyway, I am sure that somebody somewhere has asked this before and I am sure it has been tried before, and if so, please forgive me...

But, if I cannot make money by trading, is there not a way that I can take advantage of +ve swap rates, combined with high leverage, perhaps by way of synthetic hedges in order to make money with low risk, albeit very slowly?

I have searched around the interweb and afaik, this could be done once upon a time, but that window (along with many others) closed around 2008?

Does this even make sense?

With all the braniacs and people who can actually make a living on Forex here on this forum, I am sure that I can expect a response with reasons as to why and why not?

Pretty much as I thought, that window has pretty much been closed...

Pity that...

NB's 10.8 seems like a good idea, but seeing as I cannot get my entries OR my exits right, not even that stellar system will end up helping me

Hi Hannes,

I certainly hope that you don't give up on your trading Journey. I almost gave up on my trading Journey a year ago after some losses, until I found Steve's forum and more specifically Nanningbob. I have taken time out and used this to get a better perspective of my trading abilities and learn a system properly which I am now confident I am getting to grips with so I will go live again shortly, Just waiting for the Rand to strengthen a bit

Anyway my message is don't give up but maybe take some time out to perfect your strategy.

I know many of us feel you, and I believe bit by bit (by whatever method/technique/idea/system) we will figure out a way.
