Hi Tommaso,

Here is two graphics below to analyse the position of the SL on the last trade on XAUUSD. The SELL open at 1277 and the SL at 1291, just below a proven Resistance = 7.

I think the SL should have been place over that proven resistance at 1310. I put a red line at 1307 because the rectangle should has been smaller, but anyway, chances are it is harder to get through a proven resistance. The second graph shows that the price hit indeed the SL below the resistance, got into the box but stop before the end of the box.

@mirador thanks for this input, but I think using the SR zones like you proposed, with your exampel, would give often SL that would be to far away from the entry price, like you can see in your exampel the SL had been hit today, with a real big loss..

Talking about that specific Resistance box on XAUUSD, it was not place as usual. The closest side of the box was in the middle of a price fluctuation. Usually the closest side of the box is the line representing the Resistance, am I right ?

In that same period, the price was in a ranging zone between a proven resistance and a proven support, when that happens the price could breakout any direction. I suggest to try to close the trade as soon as possible by bringing the SL closer or close if BE is hit.

@mirador if you can post some clear examples to explain your improvement idea it would be great, as it as the first look sounds really interesting, and maybe very promising, as the EA esp. in the ranging markets is to often failing..

thanks for your answer ,I think it is good only pairings to trade with positive swap, to also make such a long-term trade, I use the EA on my real account to make a good entry and then i will look for a long trend trade and with positive swap i winn every day.

Hi Gunter,

so you want a kind of special MM for swap winners open, if I understand you right ( later setting BE and moving SL and a SL more far away from entry)?
This can be coded, I will think about it, maybe the others here have too an opinion to that idea? As every input is always welcome.

Hmm ... I think Gunter means steves H. swap filter: the bot allows striktly only trades with positive swaps, so running a long time the trades will earn additional money and never may lower the gains bcz of negative waps (= money to the broker ) ... just my 2 cents ...

Anyway, I switched now to version "J":
