Once a week basket trading EA

Hallo peeps,

After reading the initial post, had a couple of ideas I wanted to test out and try.

I didn't want to muck around with Steve's code coz I'm still a novice, and would most likely have broken it.
(Plus Steve is also a great coder, would have taken me a bit of time to figure out what to mess with...)

So after eye-balling all my charts for most of last Saturday night, came up with my version here:

1. Pairs: AUDUSD, CADCHF, CADJPY, EURNZD, EURSEK, GBPJPY, GBPNZD, NZDUSD, USDSGD, XAUUSD
-> Put the EA on each pair's D1 chart
-> Apart from CADJPY, CADCHF and GBPJPY, the others assume that the Monday candle is telling a lie (so trade opened is opposite Monday's close).

2. Lot sizing: current (automatic) default: 0.1 lots for every $2000

3. StopLossPips and JumpingStopPips are provided by the 5-day ATR (halved)
-> From the tests, it seemed that jumping the SL yielded less than just letting the trade run. So the JumpingStop only moves the SL to BE.
-> A BreakEvenProfit of 2 pips is also applied (default)

4. This one uses the Broker's time, not the local computer time.
My broker is GP. Should work well with any other 5-day, NY-close broker. Otherwise just adjust the hours to your broker's.

Thanks for this one Steve, I like the concept, and had similar results to HiredWhip, except I did use a trail along the way when I saw good profits, and let the EA close at week's end.

I want so set up a couple more demos for this next week as well as Dudest's version (thanks for this) to compare.

The simplicity and results of OAW, well so far so good!!!

Thanks for the tip on the Trailing stop....It looks as if I will have to pull out my favorite copy of MPTM.......As far as Dudest's version, I believe I'll stick with Steve on this.....But please post your results.....I'll set up an extra copy this coming week.........

I started three demos. 0.01 lots per pair on a GP demo. $2,000 start balance.

• One taking the basket on Monday: lost heavily (-$35). Highest +upl = $72.
• One taking the basket on Tuesday: lost hugely (-$58). Highest +upl = $14.
• One taking the basket on Wednesday: lost slightly (-$2). Highest +upl = $37.

I am going to try a couple of changes next week. One demo will take and close a basket each day. Another demo will use mptm to manage individual trades. The Weds demo I will leave alone.
