That is as simple as it gets. I appreciate that info further. Do you also use it as an exit strategy if the numbers go below absolute 10 and you are in that position or do you rely on the sto of choice?

TIA
Lionsden
No I do not use it for entry or exit. I make that decision based on the system. It gives you the pairs that might be the most trade-able and you can look to them to see if that is true with the system. It is based on CSS and is solely an analysis template. You do not trade this chart. It just lets you know when conditions may be starting to be good for trading. That can happen quite quickly so you can look at those pairs in a top down order.

Cheers, :)

A study of CSS and the 15 min.

While LONDON Is ASLEEP... It is 0745 surly they will wake. 0345 est US right now.
london asleep.png
Present 4 hour CSS which I use for intraday trading.
css.png
Strong Ordered AUD !!
euraudmm15 strong AUD.png
Stong Ordered CAD !!

eurcadmm15 strong CAD.png
Firm JPY vs Weak NZD
nzdjpymm15 firm jpy vs weak nzd.png
Larger time frames 240 and 1440 telegraph NZD Strength with Bullish edges. It has been in a relatively stable climb Which leads to the subject of what is bullish and what is bearish. The 240 is bullish and the 1440 is bullish. With strong support on the 1440 NZD could become stronger.

Firm JPY vs Weak EUR
eurjpym m15 firm jpy vs eur.png
Compared to NZD one wonders if EURJPY is ready to start a bearish move. All edges are Bearish except the 240 and it is in line to cross next. The weekly is far below but it is bullish so it could become support but not until EURJPY got to the 130.000 round number zone.

So just a rudimentary start to trying to compare CSS to Ribbons and Ribbon structure to future price movement. Just a beginning. So the first night I have had some time to trade and the market is dead.

Cheers, :D

Amazing setup Doug :hi:

I'm new on that thread here, but have used ribbon templates of my own for years now. I really like the 'visual' trading : all the required info at first glance and trying to remove everything that is useless.

One suggestion i should propose to your attention:
when we have a chart with only some of the ribbon levels, and does not see (and know where the missing are) the others because they are outside the active scalable chart, i'm thinking about (on the right chart side when swift'ed) some more info: how far from the actual price are the ribbon levels.
Let say that only Daily & Weekly TFs ribbon levels are usefull S/R :
- red font pips number, if price is below the ribbon level
- green font in the other case (font size user defined)

Each pair often have a max pips distance reached before reversal, so having that info on the chart, without having to glance at other TF is easier & quicker. That is for that first post; if you agree with that idea, please add it to the template.

Lazy pips,

Thanks for participating. Padnoter has spent a lot of time programming the indicator. The contributions that he has made are fabulous but they take a lot of time away from his trading. For now trading the system is what is important. I will be writing a manual, doing a video, but mostly this week trading. I will be looking at some old indicators that Keno built that do something similar to this but for now trading is what I need to be about. I will keep these ideas in mind.
Cheers, :)

Maybe take a nap :)

Ok it is really quiet in Forex Land. Only pair that has move some today is GBPNZD and GBPUSD. Right now the power chart looks like this this since noon and the highest I have seen it today was 11.

You can't trade these numbers.

Trade,

USD Strong and AUD weakening on the 4 hour CSS. Two red exhaustion bars on the better volume indicator. Swing volume very interesting as a confirmation.
So a sell at 9357 and 9366. The 240 red 2:1 has been flipping back and forth. This is a trade based on ribbons CSS and volume only. I want to see if the swing volume indicator working with better volume can signal an early entry.
