Got my first sell basket trades last Friday at 18:30GMT.

Set TP and SL to 0 and going to keep them open and close at 11GMT as scoobs originally intended for this method to work.

Fabulous example of different crims = different feeds = different results. My Cowboy IBFX Aussie came within a whisker of triggering a basket but did not quite make it.

Michael, yours appears to be the only basket open right now, so please keep us in touch with your results.

Did any of you understand why scoobs chose these pairs, apart from EURUSD?
I'm still trying to decipher what he meant.

P.S. I see FR v4.2g is doing well in scoobs myfxbook account, I wonder what pairs he is using

Why not ask Scoobz? I have no idea what you are talking about here. Did you post in your intended thread?

I did forget to mention that I modified this EA code... likely the reason why mine took trades.

When looking for sell trades, instead of comparing the bid with the overbought line, you should be comparing the ask with the overbought line.

i.e.

Got the same, however since trades are supposed to run and be closed at 11gmt on friday, I'd assume this basket shouldn't have been taken at all, since it triggered after this close time.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out regardless, but if you were to follow scoobs rules, i guess it shouldnt have been opened in the first place.
I have backtested this strategy, and while it yields great results from jan til present, not so great a few months farther back. Time will tell I guess, that's assuming interest in the strategy stays intact long enough to find out

The problem is always the same with this thingy. The chart shows the bid. Candles are created from the bid. If trading that depends on a line on the chart being touched/passed, then basing them on the cid means that buys are taken late.

Basing them on the ask means they appear to have been taken prematurely. Guess how many posts that will cause. Guess how I know.

That is why EA's that depend on lines on the chart always base their trades on the bid for both sells and buys - it usually saves the coder some grief.

I haven't coded the Friday thingy yet. That is why there is no FridayCloseTime input.

Although it doesn't seem logical (most times) to trade on Friday, I don't recall scoobs saying that we can't open trades after Friday 11GMT.

I haven't gone back to compare instances where you'd get a friday trigger after a close all for the previous week has happened, so am not sure what results would differ. Doubt it would make much impact, as this wouldn't happen very often.
