Looking for a free [or very cheap!!] Empty4 trade copier.

I would like to have the ability to lose money on ALL my accounts!!!! Lol!!

Since the indicator is ex4 and I cannot see the actual code I cannot say. If your using it for testing purposes then it should not be an issue.

Most of you have already been playing around with our free trade copier. However, the first question many of you have had is why our copier is free.

We made it free so the community can improve on it and make it better.

The copier you received is built directly from the source code athttp://code.google.com/p/mt4tradeduplicator/ . We are continually responding to issues and enhancement requests and folding them into the source code there.

In fact, if you are so inclined, you can build your own trade copier. We actually encourage it! We want to increase the knowledge of the Empty4 community and hopefully come up with areal free trade copier that will rival any commercial offering.

So, it is free so you can increase your skills, and so we can together work on a better product.

So, poke around at the http://code.google.com/p/mt4tradeduplicator/ site. Try your hand at altering the code and rebuilding it. Let us know what we did right and what you see room for improvement. Make your own changes to it for your own needs. But, in any case, take a look.

I am currently looking into this as well.

The Mt4tradeduplicator would be my first choice as long as it does not get blocked by Empty4 (enforcement of DLL restrictions) and provided that I can build all binaries from the source from scratch. This is non-trivial as it is an advanced C++ project and it requires pulling in several other major sub-projects.

I was not able to cross-compile it from Linux, so I I have aquired a Windows 7 PC and it might take a while to resolve all the version dependencies.....

A possible short-cut to all of that could be a two part solution:
(but not for scalpers requiring mS synchronisation)

a) A secure peer-to-peer folder synchronisor over https (the slave machines watch for changes to a particular folder and synchronise the folder with the master machine)

b) An Empty4 EA to dump trades to CSV on the master and one to read the synchronised CSV file on slave machine and then send the pending orders and any other trade operations

So far the peer-to-peer works well on my intranet using btsync (from bittorrent).
The updates occur within less than a minute.
However, I need to test it over the Internet and verify that it is reasonably secure (it should not be possible to hijack/edit the file and replace it with an alternative).

The second part does not sound difficult and there are scripts that already write trade info to file.

If anyone else interested in this second approach or if am I missing something important please let me know.

I *swear* I remember seeing a note about a trade copier that nets out positions to "de-hedgify," and also handles FIFO properly. This would allow you to run any EA or combination of EAs without running afoul of the NFA's idiotic rules.

But now I can't find a reference to it anywhere. Ring any bells for anyone?

This may be of assistance to you, just don't ask me anything about it as I'm not from the US so don't have to worry about stupid FIFO rules myself. It seems to aggregate EA trades from multiple demo accounts to a live one.
