Once a week basket trading EA

Hi,

My basket opened this morning, mixed buys & sells so no problem on my side, still can't understand what happened with the full one direction baskets... I've made some changes to the tradedirection function but it doesn't really change the logic of it, any one had issues this week with the original EA ?

I'm trying something with the EA, opening the basket on wednesday, then for pairs in profit, add a new trade on thursday at london open, repeat on friday and close at the OOB date/time. Will see how it performs for this week.

I have the original EA running a few ways.

Running 4 demos, 3 at Global all opened trades correctly, one at Cowboy IBFX opened all buys, except for 1 sell on the EURUSD.

Will post end of week results tomorrow.

I am not closing or abandoning this thread. I will adapt OAW if traders find ways of dealing with losers/adding to winners that improve on the original concept and allow it to be more reliably profitable. It is just that I found myself adapting to trading it once a day, and so decided to code a OAD equivalent.

Results starting 8am Tuesday Oz Time, using trailing stops when I see profits, closing at 4pm Friday. It did well this week at one stage was up over 600 pips in closed profits.

The demo where I use close basket profit set to 300 pips closed the basket early in the week.

The other demo opened all buys bar 1 sell so not worth mentioning as it did terribly. Look forward to trying the Once a Day idea. Thanks!

Hi Sandy,

Do you manually set the trails per pair in the basket when they go on profit or you have another EA (like MPBM or MPTM) to manage it?

To date I have been watching it and doing it manually as I see the profits there.

No doubt in some cases the profits could go higher when the trail is a bit close, but early days yet, still working out the best way to trade this. A Trade Manager would work well, just I am able to be close to the PC most of the time so I keep checking it.

Results for OAW using trails as individual trades reach profits. All the other demos had losses this week.

Got 400+ pips for OAW this week. Closed the basket quite early in the week when it reached my target pips. Will be using MPBM next week to monitor basket.

This one puts OAW and OAD into the same ea and has a third option to send individual stop losses and take profits with the trades.
