Boys, my inadequacies are showing!

My knowledge of the intricacies of Forex, programming and how stuff correlates is sparse to kindergarten entry level.

If it is any help here is the *.set file that I have been using.

I think the strategy will not work with all pairs only with some, like your testing is so far showing there are some pairs with positiv results, the big surprise for me is here USDTRY...

Ok ... but I cant see in that/my test account nearly no really profitable pairs - except that excotic USDTRY ?

Thanks Tommaso for that quick and short analysis ! Yes USDTRY is really a surprise ...

Anyway, will stop from the next week all the other pairs and run now only:
AUDJPY, AUDNZD, AUDUSD, EURNZD, GBPAUD, NZDJPY, USDTRY ......

Right ? What's your opinion ?

Yes I think from my own experience with the EA it would make more sense..Looking forward to your results..

it is only demo whitout intervention and
on my live account i close many positions by my self

Hi Gunter !

So is the first one ("in plus") your live acc with manual interventions ? And the second one - the loosing - is the demo ?
Mine is in red continuously (no manual interventions all the time):

I have to stop this test - it seems the strategy itself doesnt work properly or if the strategy is ok: may be it isnt automatable (simply) ? Who knows ?
Anyway - have to look for other possible winner bots ... or may be Tommaso has any advice ?

Ok - if you use the bot here only for entries we have to accept, that, honestly to say, its "semiautomatic" trading ... in any case if it brings gains succesful, its pretty good - thats the only result we would like to have !

first of all thank you for your testing!
I think indeed the EA can be used as a great helper EA, I for myself use it selecting in the evening the pairs I want to set it and only allowing one trade direction ( the maintrend/ or the expected trendchange) and like Gunter does on his live account, I close too the trades often manually after some chart analysis.
Maybe this strategy can be fully automated, but it would be difficult because the rules are not easy to define for an EA...
You asked for an advice for the testing, I like the OnceADay and OnceAWeek EA's from Steve this basket EA's are looking promising...

it is really live I use the EA to open the positions to evaluate then with the help of good indicators of this forum to close the trade or to continue running.
