I take profits at the height of a session. So whatever a session gives me I will take. Sometimes not much sometimes a lot. Here is the aud/usd the last couple of weeks with these trades. These are called counter trend trades. I used to trade like this all the time, it used to be my bread and butter system and I will still trade like this. The one that dropped would have taken a 2nd entrance to recovery back to BE. The rest are those nice little 10-25 pop in and out trades I like to take and boost my overall pip profit. If you trade 24 currencies like I do then you get 20-40 of these a week. At an average of 15 pips a pop that is 300-600 pips potential a week. At FF I had two threads called 4.0 and 5.0 where I posted every trade for a year and when it was over I profited over 19,000 pips just CT trading. You will see those systems had 10-20,000 downloads and people were using them. That is where I made my fame as a trader. I showed all my trades winners and losers and I dont know anyone that has ever done that. So that is my new CT trade, it is back in my repertoire.Cherry » Mon Jun 09, 2014 7:22 pm wrote:Please.. what else do you look for before placing these limit orders at the extreme?nanningbob » Sun Apr 06, 2014 3:38 pm wrote:A trade I like is the extreme trade (HI AL) I place Sell Limit orders near the top solid line and Buy limit orders at the bottom line and see if I can get that one or 2 trades every week at the extreme. I am sure all can talk about those kind of trades. Price spikes and you can pick up a nice trade. See green areas labeled #2. Limit order trades. If you want to stack trades you could put Sell stops and buy stops at the dotted lines also. (PINK AREAS)
The TMA True warning system gives you time to place these trades OR you can just set up limit orders at the beginning of the week. Check CSS if a currency is trending strongly.
For example we have A/U hitting the top band on H4 but would you be placing limit orders now?
Also how far do you aim for the target? Mid line? Lower line?
Just trying to understand this more fully.
Thanks again

The last 3 trades on the 30M would look like this. Enter at the top of the 4H TMA and take profit at the bottom of the 30M STO7. The third trade I probably would have ditched since it didnt go anywhere after 5 hours. So I would have taken that 4-8 pip profit and moved on losing on the later move.

The ugly trade would have looked like this on the 30M chart and would have taken about 2 weeks to get back to BE. I will do that with positive swap trades especially when I know that the AUD fundamentally was coming back.

Almost all of us cut our teeth at Forex Factory (FF) I still would like to congratulate them on their 10th anniversary even though some of us have moved on. I still enjoy their news section and still get in on some of the SL, CT trading, and hedging debates. I wish them well and hope someday Steve will be able to write about his 10th anniversary.
Happy 10th anniversary FF.

Cherry - it sounds very much like you are applying the template before restarting Empty4. You have to put the indi's etc in the correct place then restart Empty4, then apply the template.Cherry » Mon Jun 09, 2014 1:34 am wrote:Can I just ask please, when we place the template on a chart should all the included indicators show? There are only 2 MA's on mine and nothing else. I will have to place all the other indi's on individually but I would have thought the template would have been saved with them all on?!
Thanks to anyone who can assist.
Hopefully that should do it.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks Dave, but I did restart Empty4 first so that couldn't have been the problem?!!spotdespot » Tue Jun 10, 2014 5:30 pm wrote:
