Polygon EA

Post by niepce »

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know that jhenrikb and I just released our EA.
Right now for Empty4, but we have an ongoing development to release it for cAlgo/cTrader later on.

http://forexpolygon.com/

You can PM us here if needed.
Cya !
Polygon picks its trades on a retrace following a breakout. After a bull breakout, it buys on the retracement. There are 3 conditions for a trade to take place. If 1 is valid the bot will open a trade. The steeper move, the rarer the trade but with much higher accuracy.

We are running 3 different combinations.
Conservative: About 30-100 trades per year on each pair. Very high accuracy and average Reward:Rsk 1/10
Agressive: Optimized for more trades. About 200-1000 trades per year depending on the pair. Average R:R 2/5 and 1/3
Conservative & agressive.

Polygon runs on any timeframe, but is internally based on M1, M15, and D1.
The supported pairs for the moment in conservative mode are: EURUSD, GBPUSD & USDCHF.
In agressive mode: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, NZDUSD, EURAUD.

For any questions regarding polygon, our mail is Support@coreplex.no

We are looking forward to some feedback.

Sincerely

John & Jerome

Hi everyone,

Polygon update v1.2 has just been released.

Fixes :
*** Fixed a serious bug in settings download, resulting in different trades for customers compared to bench version.
*** Fixed a cosmetic bug in the AccountBalance display.

Improvements :
*** USDJPY now supported in Aggressive mode.
*** Changed USDCHF/Aggressive and GBPUSD/Aggressive to newly optimized settings.

Polygon must be upgraded before September 25th 2014 else will stop working. But since this fixes a very important bug, you should do it immediately.

To install, all you need to do is to restart Empty4. A pop up window will invite you to upgrade Polygon to v1.2 upon restart.
While Polygon will handle ongoing trades when it's upgraded, it is still recommended to upgrade while there are no open trades.
In case update fails, just grab installation files from this link and install manually :
(Check email for link)

Here is the list of pairs we are running on our corporate accounts :
- Conservative (prisk 10%) : EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF
- Aggressive (prisk 2%) : EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, EURAUD, USDJPY.

Here is a list of pairs we are running as a test :
- Aggressive (prisk 2%) : XAUUSD

Pairs we do not trade anymore :
- Aggressive NZDUSD (replaced by USDJPY, for instance).

As a side note, we heard the many complaints (by the way, thanks a lot for your feedback and support on this) regarding differences between bench accounts and customer accounts.
The bug has been spotted and so far is fixed within this release.

May you encounter any issue, just send a mail to support@coreplex.no

Good Luck, and Best Regards,
jerome / john

Monthly Results

ICmarkets
August: 113,2 pips.
September: 323.5 pips
October: 74.4 pips(192 trades)

Bully Pepperstone
July: 175,6 pips
August: 193,4 pips.
September: 449.6 pips
October: 319.8 pips (182 trades)

Global Prime
October: 82.1 pips (188 trades)

Seems Bully Pepperstone are getting the sweetspot of the trades.
The total amount of trades are more or less the same. However ICM and GP took a few more trades that unfortunately hit SL.

Overall, im extremely happy about the outcome this month, espesially since we were in deep drawdown.

USDJPY is showing exceptional good performance for now. with 26 trades won out of 27 traded, it sure was a good thing to switch it with NZDUSD.

Post will be updated if there is any change before market close.
