I am using it for my EA to filter out trades. If you set it to false, you get heaps of pending trades.

If I have 6 pairs running, I don't want all 6 pairs to take a trade. With stochastics, I am trying to increase the chances a few of the trades will go to target with momentum in our favour.

Asian session was a sleepy hollow today as expected as no news came out from Oz, Japan or China. Did not set the EA to trade Asia today.

I was setting up new demos for comparison of the success of different settings, and discovered the cause of those 'divide by zero' errors and why they had not shown up on my platform.

It only affected those of you starting a new account with the later versions that calculated the profit percentage of the account balance at the start of the day.

The problem was indeed the StartBalance variable. StartBalance is calculated by subtracting the profits on closed trades from the current balance.

Empty4 regards your initial deposit as a profit trade. On a new account, your 'profit' would equal your current balance, and so StartBalance = 0, hence the divide by zero.

This is fixed in V 1f in post 1. Those of you who can, go to line 3453 (should be a blank line) and add this:

then recompile.

This works fine here. If anyone here has a Empty4 that shows a different comment in the deposit comment field, I will get around it by making this a user input.

Hey guys, One suggestion for this EA. The daily open will vary depending upon your broker time, which will greatly affect results. Perhaps modify the EA to make an offset on the daily open. So if your broker or computer (either way is fine so long as you can count) is GMT+3, then your offset would be -3 to get a daily open on GMT 0 time.

Also, if you broker has a Sunday bar that can louse things up too. Be wary.

Only one in NY - UJ. I typically only get one trade, because a filled one uses up all the available margin and so any attempt to fill a pending fails through lack of money. The trade has to close fairly quickly to allow others to fill.

Not complaining; that one trade represents 3% profit - not bad for one trade.

I am going to set up another demo to see what happens if I take lots of little trades instead of one big one. We shall see.

ds, you mentioned not taking trades when the market is too far from the D1 open price. Have you thought about having a MaxPipsFromOpen filter, or maybe a percentage of ATR? Either would take me about two minutes to code.
