I didnt have any of that stuff back then. It was a naked screen and I could see the high and low and the bouncing. So I played it. I guess it was naked trading before I ever heard such a thing. I may have used a bollinger band but I do not remember. More likely I was just playing the trend breaks. There was nothing complicated or original just followed the bouncing ball.lionsden » Mon Jul 07, 2014 2:47 am wrote:Greetings Bob,nanningbob » Thu Jul 03, 2014 10:54 pm wrote:One of the most profitable days in trading I ever had was the 4th of July many years ago. I found the eur/jpy just bouncing up and down between two points for around 25 pips and kept playing it for about 4 hours. 15 pips up profit, 15 pips down profit, etc. I just dont have time to just sit in front of a screen and do that but it was an interesting day that day. USA session will be dead so just follow the bouncing ball in the 5M chart.
Would you be using the Sto 7 on the 5M or the TMA bands, or even a combination of the both to trade the range once it was determined by the CSS?
thanks

Ok, I am going to share with you my trading plans using 10.7
I have been following this thread for quite some time, enough to know that this is the kind of strategy that puts the odds on our side and boosts my confidence.
What I am planning to do is this :
- Start with a real 100 Euros account;
- Trade the STO Alerts but only the ones with the trend, no CT or Ranging trades (for now);
- Goal is 20% increase per month (got 10% per week in the last 15 days);
- When I get to 12 months trading and if these goals are achieved I consider myself a disciplined trader and will increase my broker account funds but continuing the exactly same strategy;
This will be considered too risky because I will use 1 cent/pip per 100 euros, 10 times more comparing to Nanningbob, but will close any red trade that doesn't look good after the most volatile times during sessions.
If this succeeds I will be a very happy man in 5 years time, living from my own work
Have a great day!

That's an awesome plan & goal, wish you every success.
Can you please share more when you have time?
eg. which time frame?
take profit targets / stop loss?
what is your trend criteria?
perhaps a chart or 2?
Thanks, appreciate it, John

Its a noob plan. I can't count how many times i've dreamt of ice cream cones and chocolate cake after finding "the perfect trading system". I guess I'm no longer a noob.The_Snowman » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:13 pm wrote:Nidolap » Mon Jul 07, 2014 7:24 pm wrote:Ok, I am going to share with you my trading plans using 10.7

John, thanks for your words, this is all about Bob's strategy with 10.7, trend, timeframe, tp and sl (240 lwma, H4, mid session volatility, etc.) what I was trying to show was how I manage to follow this trading style for the next 5 years.society » Mon Jul 07, 2014 11:39 pm wrote:Its a noob plan. I know this thread for about 2 years, the more I read outside it the more I believe. If Bob were interested in marketing and sales he would be very successful, but guess what? He isn't...he just asks for a charity contribution.
Society, I know exactly what you mean, seeing those ice cream cones and chocolats can really take us out of real world, that's why I made my post, assume some kind of public responsibility for this and it helps me focus on the goals.
Regards!

10.7
Hello fellow traders,
I've been following the development of 10.x over the past year. BIG shout out to Bob and the village that has helped him put 10.7 together. I plan to trade 10.7 on the 4 hour TF and maybe 10.9 on the daily TF. Here is an example of EURUSD 4 hour TF. The green arrows would be my entries. My SL would be the swing low and TP 2 times SL. Are my entries correct? TP and SL as well? If not, what are the rules for trading 10.7?
Thanks for any help and suggestion.
Randy

It maybe a noob plan but that is how you learn. I started there many years ago and I dont put down people who are where I was. I started 10.0 with 1000 dollars at FF several years ago. It is now over 8300. I also have other accounts but I wanted to show someone what would happen if you traded a consistent plan over 5 years what could you do. I am happy with the results even though it doesnt meet the requirements of the big boys.society » Tue Jul 08, 2014 6:39 am wrote:Its a noob plan. Yes those would be entries per 10.7. I take profit at top of the STO and look for reentries in a ranging market like we have had this year. Multiple entries when we are trending strong. I am not big on ratios 2:1 3:1 etc. I take what the market gives me and skip the ratios. On Euro buys you have a good positioin on a SL but since Euro weakness seems to be in play for now I would keep tight reigns on buys and loose reins on sells. Basically I am not putting any SL on Eur versus any commodity currency at the moment.rktrader714 » Wed Jul 09, 2014 9:49 am wrote:Hello fellow traders,

Very ranging...why do you think this is happening? Is it the summer already or is there anything on the pipe to blow up?nanningbob » Wed Jul 09, 2014 11:44 am wrote:OK its break time here at work. I go check the pip change for the last 24 hours at FF. This is what I read.
