Trading simulator

Hello ppl ! :hi:

Thought I'll post this where all the 'gurus' hang-out as well ! Do excuse me if this is the wrong forum to do so..

I'm looking for a trading simulator to test my strategy. Can anybody pls recommend one ? Ideally a simulator that uses past data and present them real time (if such a thing exist / possible)...

Since I'm using "repainting" indicators I cannot do back-testing and would like to have a simulator that would throw out the past 'data' in 'real time'.. Hope I've made myself clear and what I'm looking for. Appreciate any thoughts / advice on this..

Hi,

A cheapskate method is to run a visual backtest on tick precision on one of the Empty4 stock EA...doesnt matter which one
Once the "backtest" starts, drop your indicator into the chart.
Vary the backtest speed according to the speed of your eyes.
There should definitely be a better method for this.

Hey Darshanag,

MT4i.com is a site similar to myfxbook... They have a Trade Simulator that plugs into Empty4.

forextester.com offer forex tester ,very professional but not free. although there is a trial version.

A good friend of mine and one of the best coders I know just finished his many years project software that have a tester module.

From what I have been playing around with it, it seems that does blow away everything in the market today. Including forex tester. Basically allow do to everything straight in Empty4, using Empty4 indicators, charts, templates, data in ticks, etc.

A lot more included, such a straddle to trade the news ( I use an older version coded by him for years) and a lot more for manual trading helps as one click of many thing.

The only thing... only in Spanish as for now.

They are passing free trial for a couple of Spanish forex, for older forum contributors. Not sure if that can be done for this forum. It goes on the market on August 1st.

I will be helping with the English translation but will take some time.

Hi J,

Sounds cool....is it an add on to existing Empty4 or standalone platform similar to Empty4 ?
Look forward to the English version....maybe you all should get a professional to help speed up the translation work.

Sounds very promising J! Thanks for the info.. hope the English version will be out soon.. pls keep me posted as i'Ll def be interested.. Spanish version will not b that much of a help to me as I don't know a word of Spanish! Cheers!
