could please someone verify for me if the weekly Stochastic for for example CHFJPY or EURAUD is also always down for the daily timeframe? I am using the 10.7 w/10.9 DAILY template. The green line (weekly stochastic) is on the bottom since 2010 which is actually not possible. It's the same for many other pairs too. Am i doing something wrong here or is there a mistake in the indicator? Thank you.

Greetings,
Armin
the greenline is the monthly stochastic, the red the weekly...

Cheers :)

Hi Tommaso,

yes you are completely right, I was wrong here. But still the green (monthly) line is always on the bottom since 2010 for several currency pairs even when there were substiantial uptrends during this time.

Greetings,
Armin

Ok, I solved that issue more or less by chance. For all who may have the same problem:
Open monthly chart and scroll back as much as possible into the past. Then open daily timeframe again and, voila, you have the monthly line changing too.

Armin

yes it is important that you have enough history data for let working it correct, you should always use the load history script you can find here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/kb.php?a=4

Yep, this is basically the way I trade too (was on demo for a couple of months, live now). The only difference is no SL for me. My TP is % increase based, not fixed pips. It's amazing how much 0.25% increase pops up for me. I trade micro lots (0.01). I spoke about this strategy in the NB 10.6 forum a couple of months ago.

Note NZD rate change tomorrow and expected to increase. Load up those NZD longs. My favorite pair is the GBPNZD short due to the stupendous swap it pays. Yes, its expensive to get in due to the huge spread, but once in that swap just keeps ticking over.
Yep, it is truly amazing.
Came to the office today to find 4% floating profit, and still growing.
Wonder what the NZD will do tonight.... :D
Do either of you have an indicator that just shows the swap and is not part of something else?
Thanks.. Cherry

I use this indicator. It shows swap in your account currency in realtime. Also shows spread and open positions, but each option can be selected.

Some might recall I had good profit trading the D1 the way I did, but also HUGE DD of over 75%.
I can stand some bad weather, but this was getting to much.

On 11-7-2014 I closed everything, and continued with what I saw during the earlier trading period; price tends to go toward positive swap.... [DUH].

I restarted the account with some changes;
- Added some funds so it's now $50.000 cents [$500,-]
- Changed lotsize to 0.01 per $5.000,- so 0.10 to start with
- Only trade positive swap [within the 8 majors]

I kept doing;
- Enter every 50 pip
- MPTM sets BE+5 after 130 pips gain to protect the account against a black-swan event
- No TP as I plan to let the trades ride till infinity except for the GBP-pairs
- I TP now and then for some GBP pairs that tend to range much like GBPCAD etc
- If a trade is stopped out @+5 on a retrace, I re-enter at the next opportunity

I'm now almost 2 months on route this way, and just changed my pendings from 0.10 to 0.11
Closed swap has been over 1% [10% of the closed profit], and open swap is over 2% as we speak. My guesstimate is that swap alone will make over 20% a year.

DD has been over 10% recently when the NZD decided to plunge instead of run after the rate decision last month. DD is currently a little over 4% with 117 orders open [12.2 lots]

If you want you can check the MT4i; http://www.fxblue.com/users/437084 but you need to set the filter "opened from" to 2014-07-11 in order to get the right view on the current trading method.

This method only requires looking at the chart once a day for 10 minutes. During this time I check the DD, the CSS to try to predict the pairs that will move and set extra pendings if needed.

Time will tell if this "follow the swap" will stay profitable, it seems to easy to be true.

Best,
Gertjan

Thanks, I will.

To give an idea, here the daily chart for CADCHF with the several types of orders from below;
- Open orders with BE+5 set
- Open orders
- Pending orders
CADCHFfDaily.png
As you will note, before the 4th "open order" is launched, the 1st "open order" will have it's BE+5 set and so on. This way I'm exposed to only 3 orders [with each pair] in case of a totall whipe-out.

Gertje,

Sounds like you are having good success. Do you have a set file you can post for the MPTM Ea you are using?

TIA,
Lionsden
