Thanks Banzak. I don't know why it worked, but I deleted the on at the front of oninit function, recompiled and it didnt work. Then I put the on back, recompiled and now it works - groping in the dark from a non coder, but it's working now.

I noted that your start and finished times where:

Day 1: 8 to 14.30
Day 2: 8 to 10.15

Did you change the trading times from the ootb or did the Money Management kick in?

Looks like the Basket Management kicked in at $1 per trade... Lucky results!

The open/close times are from the original OAD, which uses your computer time... Steve set them for London open (his local market)...

The same open hour in the EA is 3 hours after NZ open, and 1/2 hour after Sydney open, so I catch the Asian market (though I close my trades 2.5 hours before Singapore close).

Also, if you look at the default Basket settings for TakeProfitPerTrade, BreakeEvenPerTrade, etc, they don't make sense... You will never hit BreakEven with those settings, because the basket TP will always get hit first... They're just left-overs from testing different things... It's easier/quicker for coders to hard-code them when testing, so that we don't have to reset everything after recompiling.

With any EA that uses your computer's time to determine open & close times, you should NEVER run it OOTB, as the default times are (usually) set for the coder's local time...

That being said...

@Banzak...

You had a couple of lucky days, but hey, you're still in front, right?

Keep an eye on it, and if you see some pairs that are consistent losers, pull them out of the list, then put only those into another instance of the EA, with a different MagicNumber, and different open/close times, and see how they go... All the GlobalVariables have the MagicNumber appended to their names, so you can run multiple instances of the EA, and they won't stomp all over each other

Try right-clicking on the chart... If you see "Expert Advisors" in the pop-up menu, scroll down to that, then select "Properties"... If that comes up, then we might have a problem...

Have a look in the Experts tab, and see if there are any error messages in there...

Make sure you have enough weekly history for each pair that the EA will be trading on... I just realized that this could have been the cause of CurryMonster's "Zero Divide" problems, as the EA uses a 14 period ATR of the Weekly chart for each pair... If you find any ZD errors, there's a script floating around here that will update the history for all pairs in your Market Watch, for all timeframes, so grab and use that (just make sure that all pairs that the EA trades on are available in your Market Watch first, and remove any pairs from the EA that aren't available from your broker).

Download the script, and run it in Empty4 to update the price history of every pair.

today result +20$
yesterday +19$.

I've finally completed Once Upon A Timeframe, so if you've gotten here via the quick-links, go to post 1.

To test this, please run 3 instances for now, as it will help pinpoint any kinks in the pipes.

Instance 1: Enable OAD. Disable OAW & OAM. Set everything else as you wish.

Instance 2: Enable OAW. Disable OAD & OAM. Set everything else as you wish.

Instance 3: Enable OAM. Disable OAD & OAW. Set everything else as you wish.

Give each instance their own MagicNumber, as it is used when rebuilding the arrays on re-init.
