Hi,

I am testing on 6 pairs (EU, EY, GU, GY, AU, AY) with a 5 pip TP and 10 pip SL

Yesterdays results:

Two TP in the Asian session (AU, AY)
One SL in the London session (GU)

I am using a 20 pip buffer for the hidden SL/TP setting and I had one rough trade that did not exit at my hidden SL. First time I have seen this among different EAs that include this feature.

I have this ea running on several demo accts for a couple of weeks.

Acct # 1 took 3 winning trades last two days of the week and hasn't put on a trade since.

ACct# Same as above, but has same daily open and was taking different trades than acct#1. Also has stopped putting on trades.

ACCT#3 After optimizing for longer term trades using same pairs . 3 trades, first 2 were lossers and 3rd is up 2k on 5k acct. I think the criminals might have shut it down because when it tries to trade I get error 4109 trade not allowed in expert property.

Renegade,

Your criminal broker is (likely) not doing anything. The SL and TP values are too close to Market Price (Ask or Bid) when the EA tries to place the trade, hence the trade is not allowed. Try making the TP and SL slightly larger.

This EA is highly broker dependent.

I have tried that including making sl tp 0. The tp and sl were huge to start with. I will play with it.

Trying making it like 3-8 pips larger than the average spread of the pair you are trading. That should do it. Of course, if the spread gets really high, you will still get an error, but you don't want to trade then anyway.

Broker selection for this EA will make or break results. One broker I have this on has great spreads, but also fixed commissions, so I really do need to trade higher % unless the win rate or risk reward are really great (dunno yet). The other broker has no fixed commissions but much higher spreads, so pick your broker poison with an EA like this (in the US anyway). Still, I think systems like this have an edge, but they need to be traded carefully.

Today:
Broker one (commission based) : 1 winner, 2 still running
Broker two (spread based): 1 running

I do not think the EA will place any more trades today, so here are the results this week at 1:1 risk reward:

Broker 1: 8 winners, 3 losers
Broker 2: 3 winners, 4 losers

Hi Steve

Can you please modify the code to include trading hours on this version? Sometimes not taking trades at certain time or even delay the bot from trading will be great feature even though the WMI screaming to take trades
