As part of an experiment, I have the need to cheaply run multiple versions of Empty4 (online or offline, doesn't matter) for about one month to produce some statistical files that I will evaluate for trading opportunities. Each instance of Empty4 I run will max out the CPU and I need to run many different instances. My personal computer is not well-suited for this (would need dozens of i7 cores each taking a few MB of ram) and a VPS is too pricey, so I am looking to cloud solutions like Amazon. Does anyone have any suggestions for running Empty4 on rented cloud-based servers at a reasonable price? I am looking for computational speed here, not a reliable connection. Or maybe I should just buy a rack and be over with it? lol Thanks for any suggestions

Don't know if this will help. Just my 2 cents.

There are other variants as well on that site, most of them on Linux. This is the only one i found for windows. The linux environment is not so different or difficult provided you've had some little experience of running linux on your systems.
Just for the kick, i ran ubuntu 12.04 on my local machine along with all the Empty4 stuff that i usually do. All went fine except a very little here and there. Nothing i couldn't live with. I switched back to Windows after about 6 months of experiment coz i could not get around to creating an extended horizontal desktop for my dual screen setup that i use. In Windows environment, extended desktop is kids play.
Do keep us posted if you get a break through.
