I have been trying to test this all week. As luck would have it even just throwing random trade on my demo, every trade went into profit and I was never able to activate the trade manager. Hopefully I will be able to do some testing this week.

v1.01 is in post 1

v1.01
-Bug fixes to ALR logic
-Additional variables carried over from ALR EA

Code: Select all

extern double ALR_TargetPercentProfit  = 0.1;
extern double ALR_MaxPercentLoss       = 7.5;

ALR_TargetPercentProfit to determine % profit desired at ALR progression. 0% means lot sizes grow slower and things are safer.
ALR_MaxPercentLoss to determine maximum amount of lost acceptable. Once 7.5% net losses are hit, the ALR progression stops.

Unfortunately, there is no way to backtest this.
Assuming the code is carried over correctly from the EA, and the EA has backtested quite well...

thanks for directing me to this thread... first off:

can you please help us understand (or is it just me?) about these default variables:

CriminalIsECN --- true
RequiredMarginPercentile --- 1000.0
AllowedSpreadMultiplier --- 1.4

Hi

All these parameters are inherited from Steve's/Tommaso shell.

CriminalIsECN for ECN brokers who require 2 stage order sending
RequiredMarginPercentile -check how much margin is left in your account, any less and stops trading
AllowedSpreadMultiplier - There is a auto calculation of the average spread of the broker. If there is a sudden spike in the spread, the EA should stop trading...but my guess is this is not valid for the Trade Manager since it works via pending.

This reminds me that some of these variables may not be used...and probably need to be removed.
