The advice is not to upgrade to build 418 but wait until the next build due out shortly

You need to disable the live update in Empty4.
Look under the main Empty4 file and in the following, config> UpdatePlatform.exe you can just add a - after the exe like this.
UpdatePlatform.exe-
and it will stop the auto update from working. My Empty4 is Cowboy IBFX and it looks like some of the criminals have changed the way Empty4 is installed , another criminals might be different.
I believe the file use to be liveupdate.exe
You would need to do this for each install of Empty4 or it could update anytime...

Thanks to all for that info. I have version 4.00 Build 409. I just renamed my Live account to "Liveupdateoff"" . Thanks Jeoro fot the tip.

In the article http://pipburner.com/how-to-disable-live-update-in-Empty4/ author also solved that problem by renaming the liveupdate execution file.

Hi Dixpat
I have been running 2 Alpari demo accounts on 409 build.
All was Ok up until today when on starting up the demos I received an "Old Version" message.
I read somewhere that there was a new build being forced upon us.
I have a multitude of EAs, templates, indicators, set files on the current Alpari demop account.
it would be a bit of a bind to download fresh demos and copy everything over.
Is there a way of upgrading the current demo running build 4.09 to the one just recently released?
