Besides the indicators telling Euro is falling, does anyone understand why it fell more today that in the last 2 weeks?

I didn't hear any special important news out of ordinary... only that thing about Hollande's Ex writing a surprise book telling all about Hollande's "true self" and other intimal stuff.

Could this book be THIS influential?!

The ECB surprisingly cut key interest rates to record lows, and Draghi said it would start buying securitised loans and covered bonds next month, in the face of further deterioration in the region's prospects.

Cheers :)

Thank you, minalese. I'm kind of relieved it wasn't for something as petty as an ex-girlfriend revenge!

I was reading à newspaper this morning while waiting for an exam-result (I passed) and there was a hint of ECB lowering the rate today, "or else...."

After reading Anna Coulling's book "a threedimensional view on the Forexmarket" I expected something like this to happen, but then again, why didn't NZD do this a month ago?

I'll hold on my EU-sells and NZD-buys for dear life, curious if NFP will confirm and accellerate this move tomorrow. For sure I'll be prepared!

Thanks Bob, your teachings have made the world of difference to my trading. Yes, I was all over the EUR fall too. Just yesterday I was talking about my DD and it was cleared in one swift move. But then again it could have gone real bad too, but CSS pointed the way.

Now only if I could understand the GBPJPY moves. My theory is with Scotland's vote coming up people are looking for safe haven to park money. JPY appears best of a bad situation. I need to get out of GBP positions as next week its going to be volatile.

If Scotland bails out I am sure that is not good news for gbp but as I have stated they like being in the middle. GBP fall is probably more due to the Euro dragging it down more than GBP news sooooo........... JPY increase is not what they want either so ........................... I expect JPY to do something about this after the euro news dies out in a couple of weeks. I will ride euro down for a while and then ......... ?????????

My guess is this fall is going to see some real jumping around now. For those that like to trade big lots and tight stops it will be a killing ground for them. You could see being down 5% one day and up 5% two days later. Let's see ........... Russia takes Kiev, ISIS takes Baghdad, Israel goes back into Gaza, Chinese jet runs into USA jet, Vietnamese fishing boat is sunk, Japan puts troops on that rock in the Pacific, Iran decides to clear the strait, N. Korea decides to test a missile and it goes off course, Scotland leaves the UK, ............. definitely not trading for the faint of heart. Oh did I forget all the things the USA could do to ......... hmmmmmm sorry about that. Think I will retire to some island off the coast of New Zealand and wait for the dust to clear. Oh and you want to know which way the market goes with each event. Time to get your Doctor's degree in trading. :!!:

I'm strugling here as well, on the D1 most of GBP-STO7 are on the bottom, signaling a reversal for the GBP to the up side, most of the NZD-STO7 as well.

I'm guessing that both will take "advantage" of NFP to make some correction.
I just closed my GBP-AUD/CAD sells to avoid losing all floating profits made yesterday.

Whenever you have super strong fundamentals, like decrease of interest rate unexpectedly, you just throw the indis out and go with the fundamentals. Strong fundamentals always over ride an indicator.
