I think you are thinking of Basket6 indy by Pat. Or maybe one of the others on FF. I do have a copy but not on pc at mo. If no joy i'll dig out a copy tomorrow.

I forgot to add a check that the trade opened today, in the history pips calculation function. I have added this to V 1b in post 1.

Make the change yourselves by going to line 841 and inserting this:

OAD closed my basket at +75 a few minutes ago. I was left with +70 by the time all the trades had closed. Not bad for NFP Friday.

There is one possibility. Open the code in your editor and go to line 1236 which currently reads:

DayTradingStatus = nottradingtoday;

Insert this line of code before 1236:

if (UseBrokerTime) day = TimeDayOfWeek(TimeCurrent() );
   

The whole three line snippet will look like this:

   int day = TimeDayOfWeek(TimeLocal() );
   if (UseBrokerTime) day = TimeDayOfWeek(TimeCurrent() );
   DayTradingStatus = nottradingtoday;

Recompile and try again on Monday. If this fixes the problem then great. If not you are stuffed, because the EA works flawlessly on my GP demo platform and it is a tad difficult to fix something that aint broke here.

Let me know if it works next week and I will add a version to post 1 for the code-phobics.

I'm using a GP demo too Steve. If you look at the screen shot I posted the other day, the screen info the EA was showing for the local time was completely different to the actual time on my computer. Will have a play with the code this weekend, thanks for the baby tips

Well, leaving aside the fact that someone kindly explained the thingy about the time display - did you not bother to read it - in the only screen shot that I can find from you I see a damn great 'ENTROPY TradeBot' thingy in the bottom right of the screen but no time display.

What the blue blazes makes you think that anything can compete with Entropy on a single platform? The damn thing is the biggest resource hog I have met in my foray into the train wreck of retail Forex trading. Last time I loaded the damn thing, which admittedly is a while ago, having it on more than three charts fried my cpu.

And you expect OAD to compete with that?

Right. I am seriously annoyed now.

I am about to go back over this thread and remove every single post that has anything to do with any member's inability to tell the time. This one I shall leave as a warning to those who follow.

The next person who whinges that the ea is not opening/closing trades on time gets banned. Sort it out for yourselves. I am sick and tired of having my coding called into question by people with less understanding of all this than would be possessed by a Gerbil. Instead of assuming there is something wrong with my utterly fantastic (and mostly contributed by truly fantastic coders) code - most of which has stood the test of time over and over and over again - work our what you are getting wrong.
