Hi TehCount,
i'm running 5 clients per computer, including the same account number, with a live and demo on at the same time.
I don't see a problem unless your criminal does'nt allow that, would'nt know why though, and then the problem of cpu power. i use 2 cpu's with i7's and one has 6 gig and the other12 gig of ram. not overclocked but they can still take strain.

there also might be a hassle if you running too many indicators, like me. these tend to draw a load of power, especially when an alert needs to pop up or when there is a spike in the markets.
i've since cleaned up my charts and zoning on just a few EA's.

i was able to find this set file from Gertje,
There is'nt much to change so it's possible my TF was wrong or GBPUSD is no good for Gertje.

Time frame is irrelevant, George. There are two things that most affect this EA:

• 1) The distance between the grid lines and hence the trade fill prices.
  2) How well the market is heading off in one particular direction. When this happens, tp is hit quickly.

I am finding it best to look at the chart and start the ea after a decent move in one direction. What I am hoping to do is catch the bounce back. I do not allow instant re-entry following tp, so that I can do what I have just described.

I agree with Steve %100 on this idea. This little EA is very cool, and if we can filter some ranging periods out it could really have legs! What if we used something like the following pic to trigger trading? It is a TMAtrue (so no repainting) with halflength 56 and an ATRmultiplier of 2.5 (for this pair, gbpjpy). If trades are only triggered on a violation of the upper or lower band we are guaranteed a better entry as it takes volatility to get there so now there are only 2 possible outcomes: it is either a strong breakout, or it is going to retrace. Either way a better place to start Gertje IMHO.

This EA has potential as large swings in the market are very common these days

I am running your Gertje plus version on live - but markets are rangy now - seeing some drawdown

I was thinking of using EMA 30, 60, 90 on the daily charts to define a trend - whereby the rule for trading on/off would be a threshold of the total gap between the 3 lines > X pips.

Look at the EMA 30,60,90 on the EURUSD now and you will see its flat = not an optimal time for this EA?

Hi Steve, All,
i'm going to have to EDIT my previous post on the test i'm running with the Gertje bad boys and Scoobs' Forext Robot.
There seems to be a clash with them, and that might explain why i had such bad results with the Gertje before, and why Forex Robot might be needing a TFrame 'refresh'.
attached is a pic of the results from a few hours ago. I have since stopped the EA's and changed charts to different pairs, and i'm still not getting a positive response, especially from the Robot.

I suspect they need to be run on seperate clients altogether, but i think on the same computer would be okay, just not the same criminal.

I will be posting to scoobs on his thread for the Forex Robot as i think this might be the problem he has been experiencing where users are reporting having to swap time frames to get it to work again.
i hope i'm right but dont know enough to peruse the code and offer my opinion.

Ps: thank you TehCount, your comment on running seperate clients on seperate computers got me thinking. i'm going to test different clients on the SAME computer using these EA's and let you know.

Of course! Copy the folder and then you can run multiple sessions. And I call myself a sysadmin?

This version implements a cash jumping stop. The defaults are:

• CashProfitTarget=1000;
  CashJumpingStopLoss=50;
  JslStartsAt=100;

This will jump the basket stoploss by $50 once the profit reaches $100.

Set JslStartsAt to zero to disable this feature.
